Senior Transfer of Google Data to Personal Account
GCSD Seniors,
Knowing that you may want to use some of the wonderful work that you have done during your time here at Greece in your future, Google has provided a way for Seniors to transfer their schoolwork to a personal Google account. You will need to do this because your district accounts will be suspended (you will not be able to log in) on August 15th. You will also have until August 15th to get any of your work that you saved on the district network saved to a USB drive.
You are only able to take work that you are the owner of, so if there is a specific file that you know you want, make sure you are the owner of it. If it was a Google Classroom file, make sure the teacher Returns the assignment to you in Google Classroom. If it was something that you worked on with another student, you will need to right click on the assignment and make a copy of it.
We highly recommend doing this on a district Chromebook, as using a personal device can get confusing when switching between your district and personal accounts.
There are two ways you can take your data: Add it to a personal Google account OR download it to a USB drive.
ADDING TO A PERSONAL GOOGLE ACCOUNT
Before you begin the process, please remember a personal Google account only has 15GB of free storage- any more than that you will have to pay to upgrade the amount. Your district account has unlimited storage, so make sure you have not exceeded that amount if you do not want to pay. To see how much data you have, you can go to THIS LINK and log into your DISTRICT account.
This process will only transfer to a Google account, so if you do not already have one, it will prompt you to create one. To see how to transfer your district data to a personal Google account you can visit THIS LINK for instructions. If you want to just get started, you can jump to HERE.
DOWNLOADING TO USB DRIVE:
This process will allow you to select what Google apps you want to “Take” with you and then allow you to choose if you want it to send a zip file to an email, Google Drive, DropBox, or OneDrive account. You will then have one week from that time to download it to your own device.
Follow the instructions HERE to see how to download your data.
If you have any questions about this process, please REPLY ALL to this email, or email Mr. LaMonica, Mr. Lombardo, Mr. Titus and the GSuite Team.

Announcing our partnership with Counslr
With live sessions available on-demand or by scheduled appointment, Counslr makes it easy for students to seek support on their schedule and to find a counselor who they click with. Aiming to be a safe space for students to seek support, all sessions on Counslr are entirely confidential. Due to the convenient and private nature of text-based communication, Counslr was specifically designed to help students deal with the day-to-day issues that life throws their way.
Counslr is not a replacement for traditional therapy. Counslr counselors do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe medication. When it is determined that deeper intervention and/or parental/guardian involvement may be beneficial, Counslr counselors will seek consent from students to make a referral back to the school counseling center, to ensure that students are always receiving the most appropriate care.
Students looking to access Counslr's services on May 1st can do so by following the instructions below:
- Download the Counslr mobile app.
- Sign up with your school email address.
- Enter your parent/guardian email to request parental/guardian consent.
- Once consent is received, you will be able to engage in live texting sessions with licensed counselors from within the app.
Interested in learning more? Go to http://counslr.com/faq-parents to review Counslr’s Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).

You can also follow Counslr on socials (LinkedIn, Instagram & Twitter) for more access to mental health-related content and all-things Counslr!
Alumni Tshirts
The Diversity Inclusion and Leadership Network is thrilled to share our new Greece Alumni T-Shirts. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for alums to show pride, continue traditions, and re-ignite school spirit. In addition, the proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to support events that encourage a stronger sense of community, including scholarships for students who express an interest in joining our district family after graduation, networking events for employees from across the district to come together, and celebrations of multicultural holidays. If you would like to purchase a t-shirt, the sign-up form can be found here. In addition, if you would like to donate to the Belonging and Inclusion Fund, you can donate at paypal to @GreeceTeachers through GTA's PayPal account at paypal.me/GreeceTeachers, and put "Belonging and Inclusion Fund" in the description.
