SUN Bucks

Summer Sports Camps

Give your kids a summer full of fun, learning, and athletic development with our diverse range of camps! Here’s what we have lined up:
⚽ Soccer Camp: July 17-18, 5:30-7:30 PM. Grades 3-8. Cost: $40.
🏈 Football Camp: June 26-27, 6-7:30 PM. Grades K-8. Cost: $30.
🏐 Volleyball Camp: June 17-19, 5-8 PM ($65) & July 12, 26, 9 AM-2 PM ($40 each). Grades 3-8.
🏀 Basketball Camp:
- Boys: July 10-12, 4-7 PM. Grades 1-8. Cost: $80.
- Girls: July 22-24, 5-7 PM. Grades 1-8. Cost: $80.

Learning Activities Offered by Kitsap Regional Library
Kitsap Regional Library is offering the Summer Learning program June 1 - August 31. This free summertime staple celebrates the joy of learning through fun, educational activities with prizes, live events, challenges and more for the whole family. This long-held tradition is a vital part of summer, especially for Kitsap kids.

School supply lists for 2024-2025 have been posted. Essential supplies will be provided at Title I schools thanks to federal funding (East Port Orchard, Hidden Creek, Orchard Heights, Sidney Glen, Cedar Heights, and Marcus Whitman). They will not be provided at other sites.

Kindergarten Information
Kindergarten Jump Start August 19-21
Families with students entering kindergarten in September are invited for a sneak peek at kindergarten with this program. All elementary sites will offer an abbreviated kindergarten school day experience in August and the program is open to all incoming kinder students.
- Burley Glenwood: August 19-21, 9-10:30am or 11am-12:30pm
- East Port Orchard: August 19-21, 8:30-10:00am or 10:30am-12:00pm
- Hidden Creek: August 19-21, 10-11:30am or 12:30am-2:00pm
- Manchester: August 19-21, 9-10:30am or 11am-12:30pm
- Mullenix Ridge: August 19-21, 9-10:30am or 11am-12:30pm
- Olalla: August 19-21, 9-10:30am or 11am-12:30pm

Slow Transition Week for Kindergarten September 3-6
September 3-6, 2024, will be a slow start week for kindergarten. Students will be divided into two groups and attend two full days of school.
- Group 1 will attend full days on Tuesday 9/3 and Thursday 9/5
- Group 2 will attend full days on Wednesday 9/4 and Friday 9/6
Students will experience the kindergarten school day with classroom routines, lunch, and recess. Students will then transition to their regular school schedule on September 9.
Schools will communicate group assignments and transportation information to families.
