Principal's Message
Dear Borchardt Elementary Families,
As we approach the final two weeks of school, we are excited to celebrate the many achievements of our students. From academic successes to extracurricular accomplishments, we are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by all our students this year. Our staff is already planning for next year, aiming to make it even more successful and enriching.
We encourage parents to get involved with the PTO, as we have several exciting events planned for our students and families. These events are vital to our community and rely on the strength of our volunteers. By investing your time, you can enhance your child's educational experience and help create lasting memories. Become a partner in our efforts and join the PTO today!
Warm regards,
Jenna Handel

Early Checking out of students
Parents: We're sending a gentle reminder that we are not able to accommodate checking out students within 10 minutes of the end of the school day. Please be patient with our teachers and office staff as the children are dismissed.
No Pets on Campus
Families, please remember that we have a no pet policy on campus. We've had several close calls with jumping, barking, and lunging dogs in the past few weeks. We try to be as accommodating to all as we consider that people have different levels of comfort around animals. If you must bring your pets for drop off or pick up, please have them remain secured in an area where they may not have access to an opening car door.

Therefore, if a student brings a cell phone or wears and Apple watch (or the like) to school, it must be turned “off” and left in his/her backpack for the entire school day.
LUSD Board Policy 5131

Please know that if students need to contact parents, they have access to the phone in the office. The office/teacher needs to be aware of these communications.
