THE FALCON EXPRESS
MAY 2024
PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
How in the world did we get to the month of May so quickly? May is a month full of celebrations, which is often needed to help staff and school leaders push through to the end of the school year.
This is the month we celebrate our teachers and staff during the week of May 6th- May 10th. National Teacher Appreciation Week, a special time when we honor teachers and reflect on all the ways they contribute to our communities and our lives. Teachers give us so much: knowledge, guidance, confidence, support, stability, love, and access to our dreams. It’s natural for us to want to offer our gratitude to our teachers, and thank them for the ways in which they influence and inspire us.
However, there are also a ton of other fun and simple days to add to your calendar to bring joy, fun, and laughter to your scholars and staff. As always feel free to reach out to me if I can support.
We will be concluding our state M STEP testing and beginning our iReady testing in the next two weeks. Please continue to encourage your scholars as you have done so in the past.
Stevenson was featured in a National Education Magazine on how we transformed parents into educational partners. Please see the link below:

As we start to whine down the school year, we want to thank each of you for an amazing school year and commend each of you on your commitment to excellence.

STEVENSON IS MOVING
We are excited to share a significant development at Stevenson. As part of our ongoing commitment to provide the best education and facilities for our scholars, we will be temporarily relocating for the 2024-2025 school year.
Our new school campus is located at Eisenhower Elementary School 24500 Larkins Road. As stated previously, this move is only temporary! We understand that school relocations may raise some questions and considerations. To ensure an informed transition, we will provide detailed instructions, moving guidance and support for our stakeholders. Please note that our school telephone numbers and email addresses will remain the same.
We are ecstatic and look forward to the renovations and upgrades that will occur at our existing facilities. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the voters of the great Cities of Southfield and Lathrup Village for passing the bond so our learning community can be enhanced.
We look forward to your continued partnership and the achievement of our scholars in this temporary learning environment. More communications, community meetings, family tours and information on packing opportunities are forthcoming.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this transition.
