Spring is officially here! When most people think of Spring they think of flowers, trees blooming, and warmer days. When I think of Spring, testing comes to mind. The month of April is a busy month of testing for our students. Many students struggle with some form of test anxiety. However, it is normal to feel some pressure before, during, and after a test. A little stress can actually help a student focus and do better. A few tips to help ease some of the worry; get plenty of sleep, eat healthy foods, drink plenty of water, keep your mind and body active, ask your teacher for help when needed, keep a positive attitude, and use positive self-talk. Test anxiety can feel overwhelming for kids, but if it’s addressed quickly, you’ll find that your student will likely build test confidence over time. If you feel like your student is struggling more than normal please reach out to me and I can offer support.
