Saint Bridget School: a Catholic community that encourages a love of God, respect for all, and academic excellence.
Principal's Notes
Today we celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Lent, traditionally known as Laetare Sunday. The name Laetare comes from the Latin word meaning “rejoice,” and it marks a joyful pause in our Lenten journey. As we continue to prepare our hearts for Easter, Laetare Sunday reminds us of the hope and joy that lie ahead in the Resurrection of Christ.
At school, we encourage students to reflect on the ways they are growing in faith through prayer, acts of kindness, and self-discipline. May this special Sunday be a moment of encouragement and renewal for your family as well.
Congratulations to Our Spelling Bee Champions! We are proud to announce the winners of our Upper School Spelling Bee!
First Place: Jacob N.
Second Place: Noah F.
Third Place: Matthew S.
These students showed incredible focus, determination, and skill. Please join us in congratulating them as they advance to the Area Spelling Bee this coming Wednesday, where they will compete with students from several local Catholic elementary schools. We are cheering them on and wishing them the best of luck!

Faith Formation - Weekly Aspirations
Peter 5:6-7 “...humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. Cast all your worries upon him because he cares for you.”
Sometimes we can feel far away from you, Lord. In this season, remind us of what is true. Speak louder than the lies. Help us celebrate that you are in control of all things.
Teacher Spotlight - Mrs. Assiradoo - Spanish
In Mrs. Assiradoo’s second grade classes, the students have been learning about food words. First, they practiced food words such as queso (cheese), leche (milk), pollo (chicken) and pan (bread). Then they drew a picture of food to make a meal (comida) and labeled each of the food items in Spanish. They finished their exploration of Spanish food words by playing a matching game. Students chose two cards to see if they matched. As they picked the cards, they also practiced saying the food words in Spanish. Research in language learning states that to learn a language quickly to focus on contextual learning, active recall, and consistent practice through reading, listening and speaking to reinforce vocabulary learning.
Mrs. Assiradoo’s favorites: holiday: Christmas; cookie: chocolate chip; flower: roses; place to shop: Kohls; season: summer; Disney character: Cinderella.
