Senior Final Transcripts and Final Reminders
Seniors,
We will need to know where to send your final transcripts. Please complete this Final Transcript Request Form.
Final Transcripts will be posted in Skyward on Friday, May 23rd.
Reminder: Seniors must return Chromebook, Stylus, and Charger prior to graduation to be able to participate in the ceremony and receive final transcripts.
Non- Returning K-11 Device Drop Off May 19th 12:00-3:30 GMSD District Office
Returning Students will keep their Chromebooks over the Summer.

Thank you for an amazing year. It has been our joy to serve you this school year. We look forward to "seeing" everyone in August. During the Summer we will send a monthly newsletter in June and a bi-weekly newsletter in July. We will include important information to keep you in the loop for the upcoming school year.

K-11 Grades and Eligibility
Final report cards will post in Skyward on Friday, 5/23. You will need your Skyward login information to see your report card.
Letters regarding students no longer eligible to attend GOAL will be sent on or before 6/1. The eligibility criteria has been posted throughout the 24-25 School Year in our weekly newsletters- please review the GOAL information section to review the criteria.
Senior Graduation Rehearsal Information
Dear Seniors,
Here is important information that you will need for our upcoming graduation ceremony.
Seniors must attend rehearsal to participate in the graduation ceremony.
Graduation Rehearsal: Houston High School Auditorium- 5/15, 11:00 AM-12:00 PM.
Students will need to check in at the main office.
Students must attend the rehearsal to participate in the ceremony.
Parking is limited, it is encouraged that students are dropped off or park in any available visitor parking in the lot near the main office.
Senior Graduation Ceremony
Dear Senior Families,
Arrival:
All Seniors will need to be at the Houston High School, Auditorium by 5:30 PM.
GOAL faculty/staff will direct our Seniors to their designated Senior waiting area.
Parking:
Families and guests will park in the parking lot that is near the Houston High School Auditorium. Please drive past the main entrance, the auditorium will be further down on your right.
Parking spaces are available facing the auditorium.
Dress:
We do not have a required dress code for the ceremony. We ask that our students refrain from wearing denim to the ceremony.
After the Ceremony:
Following the ceremony we will have Seniors come back to the auditorium immediately following the ceremony for class pictures.
Reception: Following the ceremony we will have a small reception for our students, families, and guests.
24-25 Attendance Reminders
Parents please notify Ms. Carnathan if your student is absent. We are required to receive absence notes from parents or physicians within 5 days of a student's absence. We are unable to accept student communication regarding absences. In the event that we do not receive an excuse note, the absence will be counted unexcused.
What You Need to Know About Attendance
- If your student misses homeroom for any reason, please notify the school.
- After 10 absences accumulate, a physician's note will be required for all future absences.
- Students accumulating five or more unexcused absences will be referred for Tiered Truancy Intervention.
- Students missing 10% or more instructional days during the school year are counted as chronically absent in the state of TN. Please note there isn't a distinction between excused and unexcused absences regarding chronic absences.
- Assignments for the instructional day must be completed between the hours of 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM Monday-Friday to be counted present-daily.
How Daily Attendance is Verified:
- Attending and Participating in daily morning meetings
- Logging in 6.5 hours per instructional day in Pearson
- Maintaining course pacing in all subjects
Morning Meeting Information
GOAL students are required to attend morning meetings Monday-Thursday unless excused by Dr. Fisher. Our morning meetings review important information for students and provides an opportunity for students to socialize with each other.

Inclement Weather: What you Need to Know
1. When Germantown Municipal School District (GMSD) closes, will Germantown Online Academy of Learning also be closed?
Yes, Germantown Online Academy of Learning is part of GMSD, so we will close when the district closes.
2. Will we have Morning Meetings when schools are closed for inclement weather?
No, we will not require morning meetings when schools are closed for inclement weather.
3. Am I required to complete work when we are closed due to bad weather?
We are unable to take attendance when school is not in session.
4. Will I be required to make-up any assignments not completed during inclement weather days?
Yes, you will be required to complete all assignments accumulated during inclement weather. Assignments are counted as zeros after they are 24 hours late.
Germantown Online Academy of Learning strongly recommends all students maintain course pacing regardless of inclement weather days. We are unable to black out dates due to inclement weather.
