Attendance Tip of the Week
Attendance on Block Schedule Testing Days
- Attendance is always required, even on testing days.
- If you choose to stay home or come in late/check out, it is considered an unexcused absence, unless you have a county approved excuse.(See the attendance policy here)
- If you plan to check out for any reason on these busy days, please have your student bring a note to the attendance office in the morning, this helps us to limit the classroom interruptions and helps you avoid having to come in to check your student out.
- We can not not call into a room where testing is being conducted, even if your student says they have completed their test. We have timed testing blocks that we must adhere to.
There are No Check Outs after 1:30 PM
Please remember that a student can not be checked out after 1:30 PM. If you have an appointment please plan accordingly. The best practice for checking out a student is to have the student bring a note to the Attendance Office before school so they can be given a pass to check out. This cuts down on class interruptions and students can swing by the attendance office to complete the check out process and meet you at your car.
Getting Your Driver's Licence?
Did You Know?
The Attendance Office is where you can pick up your ADAP certificate(if you took PE/Health in person at Parkview) and your Certificate of Enrollment after you order them on MyPaymentsPlus.
2024/25 Schedule Verification and Summer School Intent Information
- Schedule Verification will run from Friday, May 3rd through Friday, May 10th.
- Students can view their course requests for the 2024/25 school year in the StudentVue app or through their Student Portal under the Course Request tab.
- The Curriculum Office has been building the master schedule of classes for the 2024/25 school year and has worked through course conflicts with student schedules.
- After looking at your course requests, please use the link or the QR code below to complete the form about your schedule. There is a place to submit if you feel there is an error. Paper registration sheets will be referenced to determine if an error exists.
- Please understand that some requests for a change in placement/level were denied due to students currently not performing in the A range in the current subject area class. Student classes could have changed since registration due to conflicts and what course would work with all other courses in a student's schedule. Course registration sheets and alternates were used in making these changes.
- As a reminder, students were able to request changes to their schedules during the registration process in February. Students may no longer request changes to courses in their schedule as we built the master schedule of courses based on what students registered to take in February.
- If a student plans to take a course over the summer that is currently in the student’s course requests, please complete the Summer School Intent form using the link below so that the Curriculum Office will know what course you desire after we have received final grades for summer classes. Changes will be made based on space availability once we have received documentation of successful course completion. Many electives such as Food/Nutrition/Wellness, Food Science, Food for Life, and Guitar are already full.

Counseling Office Tips:
Is Your Social Security Number on File?
Providing a Social Security Card opens student eligibility for Georgia Hope Scholarship funds and other programs requiring SSNs for participation within Gwinnett County Public Schools or the Georgia Department of Education. It is also necessary for students to be added to Georgia Futures which is Georgia’s primary resource for information on planning, applying, and paying for college.
If you do not have a SSN on file, you will be receiving a letter and an email on or around April 17, 2024.
Please have your student bring their Social Security card, or a copy, to Mrs. Whritenour in the Registrar's Office (Building A, 12.141, next to the Counseling Office) prior to Friday, May 3, 2024. Parents, if you prefer, please feel free to deliver card/copy of card to me directly between 7:00 am and 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Thank you!
