Happy middle of Winter Break! The entire staff at Adams hopes you all are enjoying the warmer weather we are having. Please make sure to stop by the Coon Rapids Ice Center (CRIC) tomorrow for our Adams PAC sponsored skating event. This is a family friendly event.

Just a friendly reminder that students return to school next Tuesday, January 3rd. We look forward to seeing everyone next week.

• 12/29 (Thurs) --All-School Skate Date 1-2 p.m. @Coon Rapids Ice Arena Lace up those ice skates and join us at the CRIC for an hour of free skating; skates are available to rent for $3 and all are welcome to join us. We've rented the whole place just for us, so come on out to see your Adams friends while on break!
• Birthday grams: Back by POPULAR DEMAND! Parent Advisory Council will deliver treats to students and staff throughout the year to celebrate students or staff! Thank you so much for signing up, showing up, and being a part of what makes the Adams Family so great. Little acts of kindness can make a big impact, and together you have accumulated roughly 600 hours of kindness already this school year. That's amazing! I can't wait to see what next year brings!

If you set New Year's Resolutions, consider adding "help at Adams" to that list! :-)

- Our Math Specialist has a list of materials needed throughout the year. A paper cutter is very helpful to complete this task, so this work is being done in our workroom. However, if you've got one at home and would like to contribute to this project, please let me know!

- Our K-Skillbuilders program can always use more participants; the Kindergarten team so appreciates your time!

- Our First Grade teachers would also love to have volunteers come in and read with their students. Look for a sign-up in January, or contact me to learn more.

- During winter, our Lost & Found often needs organizing. Sign up here to make it easier for students to reunite with their belongings!

- Each month we're displaying new Kindness posters, designed by our students. Sign up here to brighten our hallways!

Cold Weather Rule: It’s Cold Weather Rule Time again (CWR)! CWR runs from October 1st to April 30th every year and provides protections to eligible utility customers from having electricity/natural gas shut off during this time. Customers may need to request protection and commit to a payment plan.

Many Energy Provider’s Websites contain Cold Weather Rule information, you may click on each provider below for more information/ application to apply for protection.
