Dear Lettie Dent Families,
"Thanksgiving is a time of togetherness and gratitude."
– Nigel Hamilton
As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we are filled with gratitude for all that makes LMDES special. We are thankful for our incredible students—their bright smiles and passion for learning. We are grateful to our dedicated teachers and staff, whose unwavering commitment brings our LMDES Vision to life. And we deeply appreciate you, our families, for your continuous support of our students and our school community.
We are proud to share the results of the PTA Canned Food Drive. Your generosity will help many families in need. Thank you!
May your Thanksgiving be filled with peace, love, and joy.
With gratitude,
Mrs. Lindsay G. Brenfleck, Principal
Mr. Joseph D. Farrell, Assistant Principal

December Book Fair is Quickly Approaching
Our Book Fair will begin on Monday, December 9 and will run through December 17 or until supplies last!
What a great time to support your young reader in selecting books s/he enjoys looking at and reading, connecting with fellow classmates over the books they choose and getting their hands on books and off of screens for a bit of time. Do you remember how exciting Book Fair was when you were a kid? We are so thrilled to still be able to bring that excitement to students in 2024!
If you want to get a head start, feel free to follow the link to set up an eWallet and/or shop online. eWallet allows you to support your student(s) without having to send in cash or check. You just load the eWallet ahead of time and we look it up in our database on our end with your student having to remember nothing to make a purchase.
As always, we appreciate your support and welcome questions!
We hope to see you during our extended shopping hours on Holiday Harmony Night - December 10, 5pm-7pm.
A huge shout-out to our Dolphin singers who performed magnificently and represented our school so well last Tuesday evening at the All-County Chorus Performance!

Kudos to our chorus teacher, Mr. Christian! He not only supported our students in preparing for the concert, he also joined the performance with our students. Thank you for teaching and encouraging our students on their musical journeys!

Helpful Information Worth Repeating
LMDES School-Wide Expectations
Lettie Marshall Dent Elementary is a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) School.
We encourage you to ask your child about "Dolphin Dollars" and our LMDES Schoolwide Expectations!
Bus Safety & Expectations
Please take a few moments to view the video below and review the Student Rules for Transportation with your student(s). Student safety on the bus is the shared responsibility of students, parents, bus drivers, and the school.
Regularly reviewing bus expectations with your student will help ensure a safe ride to and from school each day. Riding the bus is a privilege; it takes all of us to safely transport our students each day. Thank you for your support!
