PLA@George H. Fisher School 93
Greetings PLA Families,
It has been wonderful to welcome our scholars back from spring break. I hope each of you had the opportunity to spend a little more time with your children and families. This week we celebrated our scholars during our 3rd quarter awards ceremony. Next week our 3rd-6th grade scholars will take ILEARN. Our teachers have prepared our scholars to give their best work! This week was also Assistant Principal's Week. Thank you Mr. Mayer for all you do for our scholars, staff, and school!
The window for ILEARN opens on Monday, April 14th. Scholars in grades 3-6 will begin taking their assessments on that date. There are multiple parts to this test and it will take a number of days for it to be completed. Please help us in preparing your child for this assessment. Scholars will need a good night's sleep and breakfast in the morning. If your child does not eat breakfast at home, encourage them to eat breakfast at school. Additionally, scholars will need to arrive on time. Once the test is opened in the morning, tardy scholars will not be permitted into class until the test is complete. The testing window will close on Friday, May 9th.
Summer Advantage is PLA93's summer programming for our scholars. Take advantage of this opportunity to get your child involved with academic and enrichment programs this summer. Program dates are June 9 - July 11. Earlier this week you received an email from me regarding Summer Advantage. Today was the last day to register if you wanted your child to receive transportation. You can still register your child for Summer Advantage using the links below.
