Kindergarten had a special guest come to teach us about pheasant eggs and pheasant farming! Colby from Forsgren Pheasant Farm came twice to explain the incubating and hatching process to the Kindergarteners, and to explain the ins and outs of his farm. We learned about their hatching process, raising the baby chicks, adults pheasants, and what pheasant farms do with their birds!
In the classroom, we got to watch the incubation process which took 25 days, and were lucky enough to catch some of the hatching process! Our favorite part has been holding our baby chicks that have hatched and watching them grow in our classroom! We have also loved sharing the fun school wide with classes coming to visit our baby chicks!
