DECEMBER READING BINGO
The December Reading Bingo board has been posted and will run through January 7th, the day students come back from Christmas break. That means you have the whole break to get your books read! Remember, if there is an ECHS Library book list for a square, it will be hyperlinked. If a square does not specifically say the book has to be from the ECHS Library, then you can get the book from anywhere you choose. The book lists are just there to help you, if you do want to get a book from your ECHS library.
Read a Good Movie!
Getting ready for the holiday movie season? Why not come to the Library and check out a great book that a movie was based on? That’s where most good movies start! This month I will be displaying books that were the basis for some really great movies and TV shows, and some books that are coming soon to theaters! Here are just a few movies, based on books, that already came out, or are scheduled for this holiday season:

Wicked, based on the book of the same name by Gregory Maguire
12/6/24
The Return, based on the epic poem The Odyssey by Homer
12/13/24
Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim, an animated film based on an appendices of Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
12/20/24
The Count of Monte Cristo, based on the novel of the same name by Alexandre Dumas
1/31/25
Dog Man, based on the Dog Man series by Dav Pilkey

DON'T FORGET TO PUT THE "OPEN BOOKS" APP ON YOUR PHONE OR BOOKMARK IT ON YOUR BROWSER!!!
Don't get caught without any books to read over Christmas break! The Open Ebooks app has THOUSANDS of popular books to read on your phone/device. If you haven't downloaded the app already, you can see Ms. Johnson in the library, or email her at kpeacoc@bmtisd.com, to get your unique code and PIN to sign in.
You can also read online here, if you prefer, but you still need to get your sign on information from Mrs. Johnson, if you don't already have it. Make sure you are all set to read some good books on your time off!
Merry Christmas!
Here's a little Christmas fun to brighten your day:
