Madison Upper Elementary Update
February 17-21
Happy Snowy Sunday!
I hope you and your family are having a fantastic weekend! This coming weekend, we’re looking forward to the big Daddy-Daughter Masquerade Ball. Aside from that, it’s a relatively quiet and short week at school.
I wanted to take a moment to highlight three key priorities our staff will be focusing on for the rest of the year: boosting student attendance, implementing effective strategies to address and prevent disruptive or defiant behaviors, and enhancing reading fluency. These areas remain critical, particularly in grades 3-5, and I’m excited to partner with you and your families to support these efforts.
In the coming weeks, I’ll use this weekly update to share information and resources that I hope will help us achieve these goals. For example, just as I’ve been sharing attendance infographics under the "Attendance is Important" section, I’ll also dedicate sections to behavior and reading fluency. Together, I’m confident we can make meaningful progress in these areas.
Looking forward to seeing your kids on Tuesday!

ATTENDANCE IS IMPORTANT
While attendance is important, we also want to create a safe and healthy learning environment. We understand some absences may be required due to illness.
