As we head into next week, we here at Herbert Green are thankful for our families who trust us enough to bring us the most important things in their lives, their children. We are thankful for our staff who continue to show love, care and patience to our students. Most importantly, we are thankful for our students. We are thankful for their smiles, their efforts, their personalities, and the trust that they place in us for their education. We wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! Stay warm and dry and we will see you back on December 2nd!

Congratulations to our Girls Soccer team for an incredible game yesterday! Despite the pouring rain, muddy conditions and cold, they persevered and won! And had a ton of fun!

Our Hands4Hope club interviewed speakers from Sierra Wildlife Rescue and Warfighter Overwatch. Their next task is to vote on which organization they want to benefit this year. The Marine Corp Reserve is collecting gifts for Toys for Tots! There is a drop-off box in our office. If you would like donate a new, unwrapped gift, you or your student can bring it to the front office at Herbert Green. The last day is December 9th.

Ms. Battle's art students created yet another amazing art display! This one was inspired by Grant Wood and his well-known painting, "American Gothic." These nature displays were made of mixed media including water color and acrylic paints, old pages of books and even broccoli to add texture to the trees. We loved having them in the office for everyone to see!
