Hope this note finds you and your family well.


We are thrilled to see all of you on August 13th at 7:40 am! As we begin the school year, please keep in mind that the first week of pick-up and drop-off may present some challenges. However, we assure you that the process will flow smoothly once everyone has dropped off and picked up the first week.


Our staff has been working very hard to create a community for your family. I am confident your children will look forward to coming to school each day. Thank you for the great attendance at our Meet the Teacher day on August 8th. It was wonderful to see all of our families and students.

Introduction to our New Security Guard - Justin Sims

Meet our new Security Guard!

Justin Sims was born and raised in Bremen, Georgia. After graduating from Bremen High School in 2007, where he was actively involved in both football and baseball, he enlisted in the US Army in September 2012. His military service included deployments to Afghanistan in 2013 and Europe in 2017, and he served until March 2020.


Following his military career, Justin transitioned to a civilian role as the lead security officer at Lake Belton High School within the Belton Independent School District. He held this position from September 2020 until June 2024.


In his personal life, Justin married Heather in September 2021, and together they have five sons. Outside of his professional endeavors, Justin is deeply engaged in his local community in Troy, Texas, where he coaches baseball. Additionally, he runs two side businesses: one offering baseball lessons and another specializing in custom painting fishing lures.


Justin is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Homeland Security with a concentration in Counterterrorism, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to both personal and professional growth.


Justin is a dressed and armed security guard and will be housed on our campus for the 24-25 school year.


We are very excited to have Justin join our team at Goodwater Montessori Charter School.

Arrival/Dismissal Updates

Drop off and pick up can be challenging at times, especially during the first week of school. We ask for your grace and courtesy to each other.


Drop off begins at 7:40 am. For pick up, students will be dismissed beginning at 3:20 pm. It is very important for parents/caregivers to have your orange car tag visible when you enter the parking lot. If you do not have your car tag we require you to park in Visitor Parking and come to the office window with your identification to pick up your child(ren). We take the security of all students very seriously and appreciate your cooperation.


If you live in the neighborhood across the street from the school and your child will be walking, or you will be walking to pick up your child in the afternoon please bring your orange car tag with you. In the afternoon for pick up you also must have your orange car tag available. We must see the car tag before students are released.


DROP OFF

  • PRIMARY STUDENTS ONLY (Cypress, Maple, Sassafras, Desert Willow, Mulberry)

    • When entering the campus after Traffic Control 1 and 2 please get in the left lane and stay in left lane all the way around to south end of the building, and merge right at the dumpster

    • Students will be dropped off at the East Wing Door


  • PRIMARY STUDENTS/WARBLERS/REDWING/ROADRUNNERS/AND THEIR SIBLINGS

    • When entering the campus after Traffic Control 1 and 2 please get in the left lane stay in left lane all the way around to south end of the building, and merge right at the dumpster (Follow signs and Staff directions)

    • Students will be dropped off at the East Wing Door

    • Please follow staff directions to speed up the process


  • ALL SIBLINGS WILL EXIT WITH THE PRIMARY STUDENTS AT THE EAST WING DOOR TO AVOID MAKING A STOP IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL

    • ONCE ALL STUDENTS ARE DROPPED OFF, PLEASE PROCEED THROUGH THE VISITOR PARKING AREA AND STAY IN THE RIGHT LANE TO EXIT THE CAMPUS

    • PLEASE TURN RIGHT ONLY WHEN EXITING THE PARKING LOT TO KEEP TRAFFIC FLOWING

  • CARDINALS/BLUEJAYS/MOCKINGBIRD/ROBINS/OWLS/EAGLES

    • When entering the campus proceed through Traffic Control 1 and 2, proceed in the right lane to Traffic Control 3 to the front of the building and students will be dropped off on the driver side if sitting in the back seat of the vehicle for the safety of the student.

    • Please make sure you pull all the way down to the first tall cone.

    • After dropping off the student(s) merge to the right lane and follow Traffic Control to exit the campus.

    • PLEASE TURN RIGHT ONLY WHEN EXITING THE PARKING LOT TO KEEP TRAFFIC FLOWING.


DROP-OFF ENDS AT 7:55 AM.

IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER YOU MUST PARK IN VISITOR PARKING,

WALK YOUR CHILDREN TO THE MAIN ENTRANCE, AND SIGN THEM IN


PICK UP

  • PRIMARY STUDENTS

    • When entering the campus after Traffic Control 1 and 2 please get in the left lane and stay in left lane stopping at the outdoor classrooms of the PRIMARY CLASSROOM

    • Put on right turn signal and follow staff direction

    • Proceed to East Wing to pick up SIBLINGS OF PRIMARY students, to exit

    • Follow directions of Traffic Control 3 and exit through Visitor parking area, stay in right lane and exit at the school entrance

    • PLEASE TURN RIGHT ONLY WHEN EXITING THE PARKING LOT TO KEEP TRAFFIC FLOWING


PICK UP ENDS AT 3:45 PM

IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER 3:45 PM YOU MUST PARK

WALK INSIDE THE MAIN ENTRANCE AND PICK UP YOUR STUDENT WITH ORANGE CAR TAG

We issue a $1 per minute invoice for students picked up after 4:00 p.m.


PICK UP


  • STUDENTS IN WARBLER/REDWING/ROADRUNNER/and ALL SIBLINGS OF THESE COMMUNITIES

    • When entering the campus after Traffic Control 1, please get in the left lane and stay in the left lane until it becomes two lanes.

    • Move to the right lane and follow around to the second MERGE LANE just before you get to the East Wing door pick-up

    • ONCE ALL STUDENTS ARE PICKED UP, PLEASE PROCEED THROUGH THE VISITOR PARKING AREA AND STAY IN THE RIGHT LANE TO EXIT THE CAMPUS

    • PLEASE TURN RIGHT ONLY WHEN EXITING THE PARKING LOT TO KEEP TRAFFIC FLOWING


PICK UP ENDS AT 3:55 PM

IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER 3:55 PM YOU MUST PARK

WALK INSIDE THE MAIN ENTRANCE AND PICK UP YOUR STUDENT
