Teacher Appreciation Week
Park Street Family,
This week, we continue the Georgia Milestones. Also, we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. Let's express gratitude to the educators who dedicate themselves to our children's growth and development. Their influence extends far beyond the classroom, shaping the leaders and innovators of tomorrow. I kindly ask you to take this opportunity to convey your appreciation to the teachers who inspire, encourage, and support our children on their educational journey.
As principal, I thank you for partnering with teachers to create a nurturing environment where our children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your support is invaluable in ensuring every child at Park Street Learns, Grows, and Thrives!
In service, your Proud Panther Principal,
Mr. Soto

GA Milestones Reminders
Panthers in grades 3-5, continue with GA Milestones: Mathematics assessment on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday, 5th grade students take the Science assessment. Friday will serve as a make-up day.
Preparing for the testing week is simple but does require consistency of practice. We ask for your support with the following:
- Ensure your child gets a good night's sleep.
- Has breakfast at home or school (every child may receive breakfast at school).
- Attendance: Come to school every day on time.
- When they get home, allow them to play and exercise: "Burning off" excess energy through physical activity optimizes cognitive function.
- For our Panthers who get a little nervous with testing: Practice relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or mindfulness to manage test anxiety.
- Familiarize yourself with the test format and practice with sample questions or previous exams. Prioritize subjects or topics based on your strengths and weaknesses.
- Lastly, we need to help our Panthers maintain a positive mindset, believing in their abilities and focusing on doing their best rather than perfection. Confidence and preparation go hand in hand for success.
