Middleton Update

And just like that, school days in March are almost over. When we return from Spring Break it will be APRIL! And hopefully that means more sunshine and less rain. (Fingers crossed!) Once we return, there are just TEN weeks of school left, and they will be busy with state testing, field trips, the talent show, conferences, the chess tournament, the carnival, the book fair, and so much end-of-the-year FUN. The countdown begins! But until then, enjoy your spring break. I hope it is restful and fun, whether you travel or stick around town.

Middleton will hold its annual All-School Chess Tournament on Thursday, April 24th. The tournament will take place at the school, during the school day. Each student will play five games. More details will follow as we get closer to the date.

Important: students are expected to know the rules of chess and be able to play a full game independently. They should also be ready to complete all five games.

Submit this form by April 18th if your child would like to participate. If you decide later that they'll not play, please let us know so we can adjust the match-ups. Questions? Email chessclub@middletonpac.org

If you haven't done so already, please mark your calendars for our first ever "Around the World at Middleton" event!

• April 16th from 5:00-7:00 pm
• All Middleton families are invited to come!
• 16 Middleton families from 14 different countries will be hosting tables for students and families to visit
• All students (and siblings) will receive a "passport" to visit each cultural table
• Students will receive stamps in their passports
• One food truck will be available on the playground
• Games and crafts available
• We will end the night with 5 performances from Middleton staff and/or famlies
• Stop by any time from 5:00-7:00!
