Principal's Message
What a fun first full week of school! Students nailed the spirit days, the pep assembly was full of energy, there was lots of student engagement in classes, all classroom doors were decorated during WAG time - great team building, and so much more! It's great to be settling into the routine of the school year!
After a full year of planning, our 20 year anniversary community-wide celebration is TOMORROW - Saturday, August 24. We will be starting at 10am with fall sports scrimmages. The pep rally will begin at 11am at the PRT football stadium. Food trucks, yard games and self guided building tours to see fantastic displays will begin at 11:30am. Parking will be at CBAC. Food trucks will accept cash and credit card. Seating at the football stadium may be limited so bag chairs are welcome. Prairie Trail is excited to celebrate this milestone with all past, present and future Huskies! We hope to see you there!
Have a wonderful weekend!

PRT Father's Club
The Father's Club is a dad-led, grassroots effort creating simple ways for dads to be intentional with their kids, with other dads and within their community. With resolve, humility and love, our mission is to be a catalyst for positive influence around the world. Examples of Father's Club involvement: fist bump Fridays, handing out fruit snacks on assessment days, guesting speaking, lessons in tying ties, mock interviews and more! Here is a link to the website: www.fathersclub.org
If you are interested in learning more about the Father's Club at PRT and interested in receiving communication about the various events throughout the year, please complete this Google Form. No need to complete again if you completed it at back to school night.

Xello
Parents, you have been sent an invitation to link yourself to your child’s Xello account. You may need to check your junk folder as well. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Mrs. Brown (8th/7th Glacier) or Mrs. Vena (6th/7th Tundra).
Xello Lessons
6th grade students will be taking assessment this semester to learn about the different ways in which we process information. Soon, they will learn about different learning styes. You can ask your student if they are a tactile, visual, or auditory learner and ways in which they can study more effectively based upon their results! They also took a Matchmaker survey and saved careers that were interesting to them. They were able to look at education, training, salaries, and schools that offer those degree programs.
7th grade students will be looking at their Matchmaker survey results next week. They will also be completing their personality style survey and reflecting upon careers that match their values and strengths.
8th graders completed their career matches and have saved careers that are interesting to them.
They started to explore pathways, education and training, and programs of study that fit their interests.
We will begin to prepare students to attend the Pathways Fair at JCCC on September 17th with this information! Mrs. Brown will be sending out more communication soon on this event.
If you have questions about how to access any of your student’s results or resources, please reach out to the counselors!
