Message from Admin Team
🥳 Happy Last Week of School
Dear Tobias Families,
It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the final week of the 2024–2025 school year! What an incredible journey it has been. We are so proud of everything our students have accomplished and are grateful for your continued partnership throughout the year.
This week will be filled with celebration, reflection, and a few final fun memories. We have so many great things to celebrate! As we wrap up, please remember
- check backpacks for any end-of-year items coming home
- celebrate growth seen on report cards and mCLASS/MAP end of year reports
- cherish those class keepsakes and memory books
- clean out lunch boxes- no need for extra surprise science experiments
To the 5th graders and families moving on to the next phase, thank you for being one of the very best. Your leadership and kindness have made a positive impact on our campus for years to come. Our doors are always open for a visit and remember, once an Explorer, always an Explorer.
To our returning Explorers, we have already begun planning for a epic 25-26 school year. How can you help make next year even more amazing? The answer is register students online! Early registration helps us plan more effectively for class sizes, staffing, and a smooth start to next year. Knock it off your to-do list!
Thank you again for making our first year as your admin team an incredibly special one. We know Tobias is the place "to be" because of our amazing students, families and staff.
Happy Final Week!

Your Voice Matters- Leader in Me Survey (closes 5/22)
We hope you can take a minute to complete our family survey. This survey not only provides valuable feedback to help improve our service to you but also helps us meet our Title 1 family engagement survey for this school year.
Lunch Changes
Our sound system in our cafe is getting an upgrade. However, this means the stage will not always be accessible during lunches. Please know that we may have to relocate or make adjustments at lunch. If you plan on joining your student, we ask that you come only for special events. This will help us ensure we have enough table and spaces. Thank you for your patience and flexibility.

Hi Grown Ups!
First of all, I just wanted to let you know that I am moving out of the state and will not be back next year. I have LOVED getting to work with all your kids these past couple of years and will miss them dearly. The Tobias community is so amazing, and the parents have A LOT to do with that. Parenting is the hardest job, and I hope you take some time to acknowledge and appreciate all that you do for your children. Thank you for trusting me to be a part of their lives.
As we head into summer break, here are some questions you can use with your kids to help them learn to think critically:

Message from our PTA:
A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing families and Tobias community!
Your continued support has helped us bring so much fun to our school community — from exciting events to memorable moments. Because of your generosity, the PTA was even able to purchase a snow cone machine that will be a sweet treat for years to come!
We couldn’t do it without you — thank you for being such an important part of making our school a great place to learn and grow.

Anyone can nominate any Hays CISD employee.

🍕 LUNCH Policies and Guidelines
Please note that students eating with families will be asked to eat on the stage area and families may not invite other friends to join them during lunch.
District policy prohibits any parents from dropping off meals in the front office from outside restaurants. This policy includes parents bringing food from a restaurant to drop off at the front desk.
If you are bringing a student a forgotten lunch box or dropping off lunch, please do so at least 30 minutes prior to student lunch times. We will call students down to get their lunches.
Our front office staff is usually very busy during lunch time and depending on the day, they may not be able to bring a lunch down to the cafeteria right at the start of student lunches.
Please note that for special campus events such as Grandparents' lunch and Thanksgiving Lunch we allow families to eat in the cafe and adjustments to lunch schedules are made in order to accommodate our increase in people using the cafe.
- 🥪 Designated Nut Free Zones
- Students with nut allergies and food allergies will have designated areas at cafe tables to help keep them safe
- Students will sit with their classes at their class cafe table
- Students who have similar allergies or get a tray from our cafe are permitted to sit within the nut free zone
- Custodians will utilize safe cleaning procedures to avoid cross contamination and we will follow district guidelines and policies to ensure students with allergies are able to remain safe in our cafes.
