Hope for the Holidays

The holidays can be hard for many of us. We want to ensure our children and families have what they need to make the holiday special. Finances are tight, bills are coming in and yet we want to keep the magic of the holidays alive. Here are a few resources to help!

Applications are available on the website beginning November 1st, 2024. The deadline will be November 30th. Stocking full of love helps between 400 to 700 families per year and turns a gymnasium into a huge toy paradise for families to shop for their choice of toys!

Applications are available at Walker County DFCS, Lafayette Housing Authority, Walker County Health Department, and your local Walker County Library. You can also print off the PDF below. The Lafayette Area Empty Stocking Fund has been bringing families together by providing holiday food assistance for Walker County residents since 1973. The application deadline is December 2nd, 2024.
