Winter is Here

Dear Intermediate School Families,

We hope you all enjoyed the holidays and made some great memories with your children over their vacation. We are back to the business of learning, growing, and having fun here at the intermediate school. In just three weeks we will have hit the halfway point in the year!

On Thursday morning, I met with each grade level separately to welcome them back and to review our core values of respect, responsibility, and safety, as well as to remind them of our expectations for effort and behavior. The boys and girls were a wonderful audience and are looking forward to the second half of the year, which we are swiftly approaching!

On the subject of the year whizzing by, we are fully into winter now, yet we plan to get the children outdoors for recess as often as possible. Please consider dressing them in layers to accommodate for the fluctuation in our New England weather!

Math and Reading Winter Assessments:

In the coming weeks, our students will be participating in the iReady winter assessments for reading and math. We look forward to seeing some wonderful gains. This is always an exciting time to see academic growth.

We are offering a GRAIS home alone safety class.

We are also offering a GRAIS dodgeball program with Mr. Lestage.
