Interest Surveys - Catholic Athletic League (CAL) Cross Country and Tennis
As we enter the fall sports season, we are seeking students interested in participating in CAL cross country or tennis. Teams are dependent upon student interest and coaching availability, so please be sure to complete the survey(s) below if your student is interested in participating and/or you would be interested in volunteering as a coach for either sport. Thank you!
- Girls and boys in grades six through eight compete in CAL sanctioned meets, with girls and boys in grades four and five eligible to train with the team and compete in junior races if/when offered by CAL
- Open to girls and boys in grades six through eight (Grammar Division) and grades 4 and 5 (Junior Division/Instructional if not offered by CAL)
Middle School Student Leadership Day of Reflection
Do you see your student as a leader, even if they may not recognize it in themselves? Is your student interested in becoming more involved in school activities while growing as a servant leader? Would your student be interested in serving on a student leadership council in the year ahead?
If you or your student answered yes to any of the questions above, please join us for our first Middle School Student Leadership Day of Reflection. In preparation for the upcoming academic year, students attending this day of reflection will:
Engage in a range of activities designed to identify and explore leadership qualities
Work to identify the unique leadership skills that each student possesses
Discuss important overarching questions such as:
What unique gifts do I have to give back to the school community?
Does leadership look the same for everyone and in every situation?
What does it mean to be a part of something bigger than yourself?
Spend time in quiet prayer and reflection
Middle school parents received an email with additional information. Any and all students interested in learning more about what it means to be a Catholic leader and the opportunities the upcoming academic year may present are encouraged to join us on August 20th. If your student is planning to attend, please RSVP at the link here no later than Wednesday, August 14th.

HSPT Prep Course with Mr. Perretta and Mr. Peloquin - NEW DATES!
Over the summer, Mr. Peloquin and Mr. Perretta will be offering a course to prepare students entering 8th grade for the High School Placement Test or HSPT in the Fall. The HSPT is the standard entrance exam for many high schools in the area including Prout and Hendricken.
The course will break down each section of the test (verbal skills, quantitative reasoning, reading, mathematics, and language skills) and provide students with test taking techniques, practice problems, and guided instruction for each of these areas.
The course will then culminate with a full length practice test which will mimic the test conditions of the actual exam. This practice test will then be scored and you will be provided with a summary that identifies any remaining areas of difficulty that students should continue working on before taking the test in the fall.
The class runs for six sessions including the practice exam. Sessions will be held from Monday, August 12th through Friday, August 16th with the practice exam being proctored on Monday, August 19th. The program runs from 9:00am-11:30am each day and will meet at the school. The fee for the course is $225.00 per student total. Because a course of this nature is most effective in small groups, the course will be limited to the first ten registrants. If there is additional interest beyond the first ten registrants, consideration will be given to running a second course.
If your child would be interested in participating in this course, please register and complete payment for the course by following the link here.
Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to working with your students this summer!
