Principal Message
Here's to a SAFE and fun-filled holiday weekend! A few items to note for the week:
~ SAVE THE DATE: Mark your calendar for an ALL-SCHOOL Spring Lake Pool reading event on Sunday, June 16 from 6:15-7:45pm (see flyer below). We have rented the entire pool, including having the concession stand open, for that evening to celebrate our Wildcats at a fun summer literacy event. ALL Washington families are invited to attend. Parents/guardians must be present, as this is NOT a drop-off event. We know it's Father's Day...we are still hoping to see many folks at this awesome event. We can celebrate all the wonderful Washington dads. Should weather cause us to cancel, we will reschedule it for a future Sunday evening at some point in the summer.
~ 5th Grade Parents/ Students: If you haven't yet registered your kiddo for Transition Camp at PWMS please do so soon!! Information below. It's FREE!
~ Snack Cart: Each year, the PTO helps to financially support the snack cart for those students/families who are unable to pay the yearly snack cart fee. As we near year-end, we would gladly take donations to reduce the cost owed for this service. Should you wish to donate, please send your donation to the Washington office. Should you wish to ask families members to consider supporting this as well or make a donation in someone's name as a gift or something, you can use the graphic below to thank them.
~ Construction Update: You are aware that we will be doing a remodeling project this summer to create a safe and secure office entrance. The plan was to begin construction on Monday, June 10. There is a high likelihood that this project may now begin on Monday, June 3, which will mean that we will have to reroute folks to a door other than door #1. Stay tuned for updates about this as this gets finalized, AND as we make decisions about how to accommodate for this! Your flexibility is needed and appreciated, so thank you!
~ Medications: Should your child have medications in the health office, please make a plan to pick these up by the end of the day on Thursday, June 6. Any medications not picked up by the end of the day on June 6th will be discarded.
As always, thank you for your support--it matters!
