Hirsch Core Values: Self-Discipline, Optimism, Altruism, and Respect!!!
Principal's Corner
Dear Hirsch Hawk Parents and Guardians,
As we approach the final week of the 2023-2024 school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful journey we've shared and celebrate the achievements and milestones we've reached together.
This year has been particularly special, marked by the successful implementation of our House System. Our students embraced the spirit of Kolo, Ireti, Bondade, and Mahalo, embodying the core values represented by S.O.A.R.: Self-Discipline, Optimism, Altruism, and Respect. It has been inspiring to see our Hawks flourish within this new framework, fostering a sense of community and pride.
We also celebrated a significant milestone – the 45th anniversary of Hirsch Elementary. The festivities and reflections on our rich history underscored the enduring spirit and commitment of our school community. Throughout the year, our students played hard and worked harder, demonstrating remarkable growth and dedication. They truly are soaring towards success.
Our accomplishments would not have been possible without the unwavering support and encouragement from our parents. Your involvement, whether through volunteering, attending events, or supporting learning at home, has been invaluable. We are immensely proud of our Hawks and grateful for the partnership we share with our parents.
This week, we have some exciting events to conclude the school year. On Tuesday, May 28th, we will honor our students during Awards Day. You can find the schedule [HERE]. On Thursday, we will celebrate the success of our youngest learners with the Kindergarten graduation at 9 a.m. Later that evening, at 6 p.m., we will cheer on our 5th graders as they graduate and prepare to transition to middle school.
Let's make this a memorable and joyful last week of school. Thank you once again for your continued support and dedication to our school community. Together, we have made this year a remarkable success.

Warm regards,
Mrs. LaToya Patterson

Spring ISD Parents/Guardians:
If your student is seeking to attend a school in 2024-25 for which they are not zoned, the window to submit a transfer application is set to open on Wednesday, May 15 at springisd.org/transfers.
The district offers different transfer types depending on the situation. Regardless of transfer type, transportation will NOT be provided to students. More information on each of the transfer types is available at springisd.org/transfers.
Just a reminder, students attending the district’s schools of choice (Roberson Middle School, Spring Leadership Academy, Carl Wunsche Sr. High School, P-TECH at Dekaney High School, IB Program at Spring High School, and Spring Early College Academy) are NOT considered transfer students since these schools do not have attendance boundaries. Student ID Badges Mandatory
Teachers will pass out ID badges as students enter the classroom each morning, and will collect them prior to dismissal each afternoon. Students who ride the bus, however, will need their ID to enter and exit the bus each day, so these students will be responsible for bringing the ID badge back and forth to school.
Students who lose their ID will need to pay a $5 replacement fee.
