Junior Varsity Volleyball

On August 26, 2024, the Júnior Varsity Cardinals won their game against Parkway Christian. The game ended with a score of 25-16 (W), 14-25 (L), and 15-11 (W). In terms of assists, Karley contributed 7, and Brianna led with 11. For attacks, Karley had 5; Abby, 3; Olivia, 2; and Brianna, 4. Olivia made 1 dig, and Abby recorded 1 block.
Varsity Volleyball

On Tuesday, August 21, Dryden played against Almont at home. Dryden won the first game 25-16, but lost the next three games with scores of 17-25, 20-25, and 30-32. Izzy Weier led with 23 points served, 17 assists, and 2 digs, while Maddie Gammon contributed 6 kills, 15 digs, and 11 points served. Kierstyn Stankevich had 14 points served with 1 ace and 3 kills, and Keira Miller added 13 points served, and 11 digs. Mikayla Fleming also had 13 points served, 6 digs, and 3 kills. McKinley Gammon scored 7 points with 1 ace and added 1 block, and Jalynn Delmotte had 3 points served and 1 ace.
Then the following Monday, the team played against Parkway Christian, securing a solid victory with scores of 25-19, 25-19, and 25-23. Mikayla Fleming led with 18 points served, 2 aces, 2 digs, and 4 blocks, while Maddie Gammon contributed 17 points served, 7 aces, 10 digs, and 4 kills. Izzy Weier added 11 points served, 1 ace, 1 dig, 3 kills, and 16 assists. Jalynn Delmotte served 7 points with 2 aces and had 3 digs, and Keira Miller served 7 points with 1 ace, 11 digs, 2 assists and 1 kill. McKinley Gammon contributed 7 points served with 2 aces, 1 dig, and 3 kills. Kierstyn Stankevich served 7 points and had 2 kills, while Mallory Barker added 5 kills and 2 blocks.
Varsity Football

On August 30, the Dryden Varsity Football team played North Huron at home. The final score was 22 points for Dryden and only 14 points for North Huron, starting the season off great with the first win of the season for Dryden!
On the offensive side of the ball, Gianni Coscione passed 7/13 for 104 yards, and Sonny Coscione 1/1 for 3 yards. In rushing, Gianni Coscione was 16 for 57 and a 1-yard touchdown, and Brady Schneider followed with 7 for 60 and a 35-yard touchdown; Santiago Perales was 1 for 3. In receiving, Sonny Coscione led the team with 3 for 77, Brady Schneider 4 for 27, and Santiago Perales 1 for 3.
Protecting the end zone, Owen Gall had 5 solo tackles and 6 assists; Santiago Perales, 5 solo and 4 assists; Drew Raymond, 4 solo and 3 assists; Gianni Coscione, 4 solo and 3 assists with 1 interception creating a touchdown; Sonny Coscione, 3 solo and 5 assists; and David Insley, 3 solo and 5 assists.
Head Coach Hunter Gall commented on the team's game, saying, “I’m very proud of the way we played against North Huron. We returned a lot of our team from last season and the experience really showed. We have to polish up some things, but overall, I think we are in for a great season of competitive football.” Can’t wait to see what the Dryden Varsity Football team has in store for the rest of the season!
