THANK YOU to EVERYONE who helped at our District Auditions
I cannot express enough gratitude to EVERYONE who helped make our Auditions yesterday a success. It was a large team effort to pull it off and shows the strong support of our school and choir program. I'd like to shout out a few groups and individuals, but certainly not limited to:
- All of the student workers! Parents- I want to thank you for sharing your students for the full day to help. They are incredible young adults who continue to amaze me with their work ethic, eagerness to help out, dedication, and responsibility. One small example: at the very end of the day, when there was one room that I hadn't gotten to clean up yet, I walked in and two students had already taken the initiative to find a large trash bag, and clean all of the trash up in the room including 8 pizza boxes, donut boxes, and other miscellaneous debris around. What an awesome example of young leadership and responsibility!
- Our Parent and Adult Volunteers who helped in any way they could: Evelyn Battiston, Samantha Fox, Laura Deming, Audrey Mills, Dorthea Ogunjimi, John Staley, Gabby Staley, Jason Finnels, and Margaret Jordan.
- Our incredible Booster Club: Wendy Mills, Brian Mills, Jennifer Latorre, and Valorie Staley. It took months of work and your assistance, planning, and running of concessions and hospitality as well as set-up is just invaluable. We could never have hosted an event like this without your creativity and assistance!
- Parents who donated supplies and food for our concession!

Join our Choir Booster Club!
Our Choir Parent Booster Club operates to help support and assist the choir program in many ways! We have regular meetings to help plan events, discuss volunteer needs, and discuss financial needs of the choir program. You can be as involved as you would like to be! To encourage membership, the board has waived all membership fees this year in hopes that you will join us and find out ways you can support your child in their musical journey as a member of the Travis Tiger Choir!
THANK YOU to our generous Tiger Choir sponsors!
Thank you to everyone who has been purchasing items from our Amazon Wishlist to help "clear the list!" If you are able to browse our list and help purchase an item, we would be SO grateful for your support!

Chorale Updates
- Sectional times listed are for students moving forward in the All-State Audition Process. Attendance is HIGHLY recommend, but optional.
- Football Games: Due to the district's recently implemented performance policy at football games, each student may miss one football game this season. All I ask is communication ahead of time so that I know what students to not expect at each game.

Voice Lessons
This year we are thrilled to add another private voice teacher to our staff and extend a warm welcome to Mr. Antoine Griggs. Mr. Griggs is an accomplished performer who regularly sings with various organizations in Houston, including the Houston Ebony Opera Guild and Houston Grand Opera! He came to campus a couple weeks ago to meet the students and began lessons last week. He still has a few spots open. If your child is interested, or if you have any specific questions please feel free to reach out to him at antoinegriggs@gmail.com. We are very fortunate in Fort Bend that lessons are taught during student's choir class time so no additional rehearsal time is necessary and I hope that many students will take advantage of this awesome opportunity!
