A Note from Mrs. Goldsworthy
Thank you to our PTO for organizing and sponsoring Grandparents Day breakfast. We had a full house for Grandparents Day - standing room only in Ross Hall! What a beautiful sight to know how much our students are loved and supported by grandparents! It's also a sign of how much we are growing, and how timely the construction of our new Early Childhood Education Center. Father Jim mentioned at mass last weekend that some very large bills are starting to roll in, and the more cash on hand we have, the less we have to take out on loan. If you would like to help invest in the Early Childhood Education Center, and the future of our school, please visit Faith Direct to make a contribution to the Capital Campaign or the School Support fund. It's money well spent!
On a related note, many many thanks go out to our PTO, especially Eagle Run Chair Connie Heinen, for the amazing Eagle Run they hosted last Saturday! Connie and her crew tried something new with fundraising and no registration fees this year, and our school beat our goal of $20,000 by raising $21,010 through the online donation hub! Wow! The additional money that came from family and business sponsorships brings our fundraising total to nearly $35,000! With that money, our PTO will be able to support school and family events, student enrichment, facilities needs, hospitality, and much more. This event is always a ton of fun, and we enjoyed cheering on our walkers/runners, playing in the bouncy house, dunking teachers and admin (which made $500!), yummy food, and of course the super cool Cash Grab booth built by Mr. Yamamoto!
Eagle Run Update
It was a race to the top on our last night of Eagle Run fundraising! Mrs. Truong's 1st grade class led most of the time prior to the Eagle Run, but Mrs. Wilson's class, Mrs. Bailor's class, and the two third grade classes made some tremendous last minute fundraising efforts. In the end, Mrs. Wilson's class pulled off the upset by $20! Because of their amazing efforts raising more than $2,000 each, both 1st grade classes will get to celebrate with a pizza party!
Top Earning Classrooms:
1. Wilson - $2,870
2. Truong - $2,850
3. Bailor - $1,935
Top Earning Students
1. William H. - $1,115
2. Matthew L. - $800
3. Jónsi N. - $685

Parish News
Bring the Word of God to Children! Children’s Liturgy allows kids to hear the word of God on their level. It’s a wonderful sight when they come bounding back into church after their liturgy. Volunteering to do this would be a great gift to the parish, especially to our kids. Fr. Jim is hosting an informational session on the volunteer responsibilities on Monday, Sept. 23 at 6:30 pm in Ross Hall. If we can attract a good number of people, we could offer children's liturgy for two different age groups. If you are interested in helping, please call the parish office at 405-751-7115.
