A Message from Superintendent Keith Ahearn
As we close another academic year, we reflect on the transformative power of our educational and extracurricular programs, creating a rich past, vibrant present, and a future filled with endless possibilities for our students.
We highlight the sustained excellence of the programming at the Parkview Early Education Center, which earned a five-star rating from the Department of Education and Workforce for the seventh consecutive year. This recognition highlights the staff at the EEC’s commitment to providing the highest-quality education to our youngest learners, which sets the stage for future academic success.
Discover the inspiring journey of senior Andrew Hille, whose love for stage management was ignited by the Fairview High School Stagecrafters program. His educational path led him to earn a spot in the esteemed Theatre Design and Production program at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music.
Our Alumni Spotlight features a Class of 1996 alumni named Mary Bridget Davies, an accomplished and award-winning singer, songwriter, and actress who has performed worldwide. Davies was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Janis Joplin.
We pay tribute to the remarkable legacy of former Fairview Park City Schools educators Ronald and Nancy Pottorff, whose generous scholarship gift will help support three graduating seniors in their journey to become the inspiring educators of tomorrow.
Finally, we celebrate the many accomplishments of the Fairview High School class of 2024. We wish them much success wherever their future takes them. As always, thank you for your support and for learning more about the Fairview Park City Schools.
Have a safe, fun, and relaxing summer.
Sincerely,
Keith Ahearn

Parkview EEC earns five-star rating for seventh consecutive year
In May 2024, the Parkview Early Education Center celebrated a tradition of excellence for the seventh consecutive year.
Since 2018, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (DEW) has awarded the EEC with a five-star Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) rating. It is the highest rating a preschool or childcare center can receive in Ohio.
“We’re really excited and proud,” Childcare Coordinator Susan Morrison expressed. “We were anticipating this all year long. It’s an unannounced visit [from DEW] so we were expecting it all school year. They made their visit this year on April 24.”
