Dear Fammatre Families,

Cambrian School District is excited to introduce you to Fammatre Elementary School’s new principal, Ms. Samantha Haley.


Ms. Haley has been a part of the Fammatre family since 1999. She has proven to be a tremendous asset to our district for several decades and is also a Cambrian resident, fully invested in our community. Ms. Haley earned a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach and a master’s degree/teaching credential in early childhood special education from California State University, San Francisco.


Ms. Haley has used her considerable talents to make a positive difference in Cambrian. She was key in helping our district develop an inclusive special education program. Ms. Haley also designed a general education curriculum for neurotypical preschoolers and coordinated a parent volunteer program for preschool. Ms. Haley proudly served on many district and site teams over the years including Fammatre’s School Site Council, Leadership Team, District Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) committee as well as the Safe Reopening Committee.


Ms. Haley and her husband have two daughters who went through Fammatre and now attend Leigh High School. She says her favorite thing about Cambrian is the close-knit community.


“We are able to work together to find solutions to keep our schools the special places they are because of the dedication of the parents and staff working together toward our common goals,” she said. “I wanted to be the principal at Fammatre because I love the school. It has been my home away from home over the last 22 years.”


Ms. Haley’s experience is rich, varied and will serve our community well as she begins her role as principal for Fammatre. Please join us in welcoming Ms. Samantha Haley as Fammatre’s new principal!
