Power Notes--Stay Connected!
End of School Year 2023-2024 Edition
Vision: At CRMS we create a supportive environment where students achieve academic success, develop life skills, and build confidence for the future!
The End of the 2023-2024 School Year
Greetings, Colonel Richardson Middle School families!
As the school year draws to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on the tremendous progress we have made together and to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support and commitment to our school community.
This year has been a remarkable journey, full of growth and achievement. We have witnessed our students’ resilience and determination, and their academic and personal progress is a testament to their hard work and your support at home. However, while we celebrate these accomplishments, we are keenly aware that there is always more to be achieved.
One of the most exciting milestones this year has been the addition of a Community Schools Coordinator. This role has already begun to forge stronger connections within our community, ensuring that our students and families receive the support and resources they need. Next year we will welcome a few new teachers to our school and a new school counselor, each of whom will bring fresh perspectives and wholehearted commitment to our school.
As a result of our Focus Groups and surveys, know that we are eager to explore more ways to establish consistent two-way communication between home and school. Your insights and feedback are invaluable to us, and we are committed to ensuring that every family has a voice in our school’s journey. We are also planning a variety of family engagement opportunities, designed to bring us closer together and enrich our students’ educational experience. And of course, we are already brainstorming ways to bring more fun into our school days!
As we prepare for the summer break, I encourage you to take time to relax and recharge with your families. Summer is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some quality time together, explore new interests, and perhaps even dive into a good book or two.
Thank you once again for your support, partnership, and trust in us. I look forward to continuing our journey together in the new school year, as we strive to make Colonel Richardson Middle School an even better place for our students to learn, grow, and thrive.
We wish you well,
Dr. Yolanda Holloway, Principal
