News for January 30, 2025
Hello Harambee Families,
I have the best job in the world. Everyday I get to work with your students and watch them as they learn, grow, and build a community that embraces all of the students who walk the halls of Harambee. We work to ensure that all students, no matter who they are or where they come from, have a safe place to learn and be their true self. Knowing that each of our children feel safe and valued, so that they can learn and grow, is the most important part of our work.
On Monday, February 10 we invite you to be a part of this work as we celebrate National African American Parent Involvement Day. A full outline of the day is below, and we hope that all families will feel welcome to join our community on the 10th. If you are planning on joining your student for lunch, and would like to buy a school lunch for yourself, please RSVP here. School lunch is $5 for adults and can be paid with cash or a check.
As a reminder, there is no school tomorrow, Friday, January 31 or Monday, February 3. We look forward to seeing your student again next Tuesday. Enjoy the long weekend.
Same Team,
Principal Nathan

Caregivers: We Want Your Input! 📣 📝 Short Survey to Help Us Expand Youth Programming Opportunities
Roseville Area Schools is conducting a Needs Assessment about Out-of-School Time programs in our district. Out-of-School Time programs provide opportunities for students before school, after school, on non-school days, and during the summer.
This survey will help identify current needs and gather input from the Roseville Area Schools community about Out-of-School Time priorities and resources! Your input will guide us as we make important decisions about Out-of-School Time programming for students.
(Please note that this version of the survey is designed for parents and caregivers. If you are an employee at the school, watch for the staff version of this survey to come from your principal.)

“PEP Talks” (Parent Education Program) are held in Shoreview, MN, at Presbyterian Church of the Way. Designed to be a “sequel” to ECFE, we invite talented speakers from our community to discuss a wide range of parenting topics. Presentations are non-religious in nature and open to all. Childcare is available (please sign up in advance) and any free-will donations are used to compensate speakers and childcare providers. We hope you’ll join us as we grow into this lifelong journey known as “raising kids.”
