April 14th, 2025
Hello Levelland Lobos.
The month of April is such a busy time and May will be here before we know it. I can't begin to express how proud I am of all the amazing opportunities our students have at Levelland ISD. Our amazing district is blessed in so many ways and the students are the true winners because of all that you do. I have been named the lone finalist for the Superintendent position at Waxahachie ISD. In Texas, when a school district selects a lone finalist for a superintendent position, state law mandates a 21-day waiting period before the board can officially hire the candidate.
Remember, there's no school Friday! I hope you have a Happy Easter!
Have a great week and enjoy!
Becky McCutchen, Superintendent of Schools
Go Lobos!

LMS Advisory Board
It's always a good feeling to have a say in what you invest in, and these LMS students get to do just that! LISD administrators held another LMS Advisory Board meeting to get ideas on how students thought school could be better for them. Admin listened to ideas and took notes, hoping to make some of their ideas come to fruition. We are so proud of these students for learning to contribute to society by engaging in actions that benefit their LMS community and enhancing the quality of life for all LMS students! Great job kids! We are proud of your leadership!
South Parents Rock the STAAR!

LHS Choir Earns Honors!

Choir Director Joshua Ballard says, "the students got to see the ballet "Swan Lake” performed by a touring Ukrainian Ballet Troupe. I don’t think anyone expected to like the ballet as much as we did! That Saturday, we also got to go to a mall and Six Flags. It was an awesome trip! I’m extremely grateful and proud of the choir’s composure, kindness, and performance!" "The best trip I've ever gone on!" says Paula Castellanos. "Very, very fun, and awesome, would recommend," says Isaiah Mora. Esperanza (Mari) Acosta says, "10/10 was very fun and exciting!" Congratulations to our choir on these two great honors! We are so proud of your hard work, and the fun you had along the way!
