Canvas Corner
Canvas/Aeries Sync
At this time, most of the issues with the Canvas and Aeries sync have been resolved for Elementary, and now all students should be actively enrolled and grades should have repopulated in their Canvas gradebooks.
Newly enrolled students or students are not being created in Canvas and schedule changes for current students are not being reflected at this time. For currently enrolled students, please add them to classes manually. For new students, please send them meeting links and assignments through email or your form of class communication.
We are still seeing inconsistencies with the grade push from Canvas to Aeries for Secondary. We are continuing to work with both companies in order to resolve this issue as soon as possible and we apologize for the delay. If you need Canvas grades transferred to Aeries, you will need to manually input them until this gets resolved.
While we are working on this issue, please do not submit tickets for it as they will be closed. If you are experiencing any other Canvas issues that are not related to the sync with Aeries, please submit a ticket at gopusd.com/helpdesk. Please be sure to select the Canvas category when submitting a ticket.

- Now is a good time to do a Canvas Check Up to see how your courses are holding up as the year has progressed. This Canvas Checklist can help!
Due to a recent Canvas update, teachers may notice multiple versions of their courses appearing when they select the "Copy to" option. We are working with Canvas to resolve this issue.
- Canvas/Webex Reauthorizing - If you get a message in Canvas that says your Webex authorization has expired, you can fix this by logging out of Canvas (from your Account in the Global Navigation Bar) and then back in.
Google Meet Updates
- Google Meet Landing Page - Google Meet is getting a new interface and workflow update for creating and joining Meets starting this week. Instead of only having the ability to Join or Start a meeting, users will now be able to plan ahead. Click on the image to see the new interface. Clicking on New Meeting will now give additional options to schedule or start your meeting.
- Sharing video in Google Meet is still not working. It is a known issue that Google is working on resolving.
