CONGRATULATIONS to Abubakr Haji an eighth grade student at Johns Hill. He was awarded the Outstanding Student and School Citizen Award by the IPA (Illinois Principal's Association).

Abubakr consistently exhibits the desire to learn new concepts. He is courageous enough to work beyond his comfort zone. Abubakr encourages others, frequently offering positive feedback and is a very strong student leader. He is always willing to participate and lead initiatives or activities in class. He is an "out of the box" problem solver and demonstrates maturity beyond his years. Continue to make us DPS proud Abubakr!

The students had an amazing time at Play Day, filled with fun, laughter, and exciting activities! A huge thank you to the staff and volunteers at South Shores for making this day unforgettable for students.

Muffley Elementary's talent show was a spectacular display of creativity and talent! The stage was alive with amazing performances. Our students showcased their unique talents and left the audience in awe. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped organize this memorable event. We think next year the staff should join the show!!!
