Easter is a celebration of wonder and joy! As Christians, we celebrate the triumph of life over death, hope over despair and love over all. Easter represents an amazing gift where our Lord laid down His life for us. He willingly took ownership for our burden of sin so that at judgement, we would be free of burden. Jesus was forsaken so that we wouldn’t be. Christians celebrate a Savior who overcame death! The empty tomb is one glorious message of the hope of heaven and spending eternity with our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Is it really a big deal if my child is late arriving at school?

YES! It absolutely is a big deal!!

Why?

Because first thing in the morning your child’s mind and body are at their best. Your child is rested, energetic, and ready to learn.

When your child arrives at school, they are immediately engaged in learning activities. These important learning experiences aren't something your child can make up, if they miss, then those experiences are lost for them.

Arriving on time sets your child up for success. The daily learning routine that has been established in your child's classroom since September is interrupted when your child is late and not to mention it is a disruption to the other learners. Setting a good example for your child’s learning starts with being on time. Lead by example.

Our enrollment for fall 2024 has been a great success, thanks to all who participated! I couldn't be more pleased that so many of our current Butterfly School families will be returning in the fall as we also welcome several new families! We have a few spots left in our threes classes and a spot or two left in our twos & todds class. We have started a wait list for our fours classes.

Be sure to share with your friends looking for spots for their kids!

Each month our specials teachers post highlights of what is happening in their classes.

Happy March everyone! The children did such a good job listening and acting out bible stories about four strong and courageous people - David, Daniel, Gideon and Joshua . We learned that God will listen to our prayers when we are afraid or lonely. He helps us to be strong and courageous in all things.

In March we will focus on Bible stories that tell how God can guide us if we get lost or need to be reminded of doing things that are right.l Our memory verse for March will be, “ God will guide you” Psalm 25:7.

Ask your children to sing their Bible song to you and what they learn in Chapel in song and prayer . Your children are amazing!

In march we will be leaning into spring! Bears waking up in their caves, flowers growing and even sham-rocking out! We will also continue to work on our songs and special projects for our end of year show! As always, thank you for letting me be a tiny part of your kiddos week!

Spring is near and we’re excited to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s Birthday along with Eric Carle and their beloved picture books. In March we will focus on these two authors and create artwork that reflect their storybooks.

By the way, we have been holding on to some of the children’s artwork that will go home in May in their art portfolio. The art collected will contain works from each artist we have focused on each month. In the 3s hall you will see some of the students artwork displayed

This month in Spanish we will be learning Las Figuras, the shapes and las emociones our emotions.

During the month of March, we’ll explore the outside world God made and learn to sign the things we see

This month, we’ll finally check out books from Butterfly School library! Together, we’ll dive into the world of non-fiction and discover how to use these books to learn about the world around us.

This month in science the kids will learn about the water cycle by making their own rain clouds, buoyancy with a sink or float activity and building sound structures with Legos. We'll also be celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday by making ooblek from Bartholomew and the Ooblek.
