Faith Noble, Perry County Public Library Intern
๐ Congratulations, Faith Noble! ๐
Faith Noble, a senior at Tell City Jr-Sr High School, has spent the 2024-2025 school year interning with the Perry County Public Library. Her dedication, enthusiasm, and love for literature have made her a joy to have on our team!
After graduation, Faith plans to attend the University of Southern Indiana, where she will major in English. Her goal is to become a high school English teacher.
Faith shared that her favorite part of interning with PCPL was being surrounded by books and meeting new people. Her all-time favorite reads include Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas and The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins โ both excellent picks for a future English teacher!
Weโre incredibly proud of you, Faith! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication during your time with us. Best of luck on this exciting next chapter โ your future is bright! ๐๐

Community Corner - Perry County Community Foundation
The Perry County Community Foundation was established in 1993 and is one of over 800 community foundations in the United States today. The Community Foundation is a charitable resource devoted to our local community. We help people make meaningful gifts that improve life in Perry County today and for generations to come.
We are part of the Community Foundation Alliance, a network of nine community foundations serving counties in southwestern Indiana. The Alliance, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, provides management and administrative expertise to county-wide community foundations, empowering each to promote philanthropy, build endowments, and improve well-being in our local community. The Alliance Board of Directors is the governing body and is comprised of up to two representatives from each county affiliate. All are civic-minded volunteers who live or work in the counties they serve.
The Perry County Community Foundation is guided by a County Advisory Board comprised of local leaders promoting philanthropy, building endowments, identifying community needs, and improving the well-being of our community. Grantmaking and scholarship recommendations are made by committees comprised of Perry County advisory board members and other local representatives.
We offer and manage a variety of endowed fund types, allowing every donor to choose the appropriate and best vehicle to fulfill their charitable intentions. The Community Foundation provides professional stewardship and oversight of all established funds, ensuring donor intent is honored, for good. Forever.
Currently, the Perry County Community Foundation holds approximately 120 endowment funds. The types of funds are:
- Community Good Funds
- Community Good Funds award grants to nonprofit organizations working to address immediate local needs and advance emerging opportunities in the community.
- Field of Interest Funds
- Field of Interest Funds support larger areas of concern to the donor, who designates the fundโs income to support a specific interest area, such as the arts, education, the environment, health, or youth development.
- Donor-Advised Funds
- Donor-Advised Funds are convenient and flexible, allowing individuals, families, businesses and others to actively participate in the grant recommendation process.
- Designated Funds
- Designated Funds allow donors to support a specific cause they care about by designating grants in perpetuity to the specific organization(s) working on that cause in the community.
- Agency Funds
- Agency Funds are established by a nonprofit organization to provide perpetual income to themselves. The Community Foundation handles all administrative and investment responsibilities, freeing the organization to pursue its charitable mission.
- Scholarship Funds
- Scholarship Funds help students pursue their higher education goals by providing financial awards. Donors can establish specific scholarship eligibility and criteria or leave these determinations to the Community Foundation.
