Greetings Richardson Families,

While it was short, we had an incredible week leading into the break, filled with excitement and memorable experiences for our students.

Our 4th graders had a fantastic field trip to the state capital, where they explored our state’s history and government. A special highlight— a photography of some of our students was included in an article on MPR News! (You can read the article and see their picture here. Article link)

On Tuesday our 2nd graders showcased their creativity by decorating their very own balloons and kicking off our all-school Gobble Bingo as the “opening act" by hosting a balloon parade. During Gobble Bingo students celebrated their bingo wins by running the hallways - some choosing to gobble as they ran. Moments like these remind us of the vibrant energy in our school community.

Looking ahead, we are excited to celebrate Hmong New Year this coming Friday! This celebration highlights our school’s Hmong Immersion program, which is a cornerstone of our diverse and inclusive community. We look forward to this special event and the opportunity it provides to honor and learn from one another.

We hope this extended holiday weekend gave your family a chance to relax, enjoy quality time together, and recharge. As colder weather settles in, please ensure your children are dressed warmly for the season. Jackets, hats, gloves, boots, and snow pants will help keep everyone comfortable throughout the winter.

The Richardson Elementary PTA is having a Fort Smith Popcorn Fundraiser! The fundraiser runs from Friday 11/15 - Tuesday 12/3. Order forms must be turned in on or before 12/03 to ensure delivery before winter break!
