Principal's Note
As we welcome the fall season, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for a wonderful start to the school year. September was filled with excitement, learning, and new beginnings, and I am so proud of how our students have settled in. Thank you to all the parents, guardians, and staff who have supported our efforts in making this transition smooth and successful.
October brings new opportunities for growth, both academically and personally. This month, we will be focusing on building strong relationships, both in the classroom and beyond. We believe that fostering connections is key to creating a positive and productive learning environment for all.
As always, communication remains at the forefront of our priorities, and we encourage you to stay engaged with what’s happening at school. Together, we are building a school environment where every child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn. Thank you for your continued involvement in our school community!
Wishing everyone a fantastic October!

The Student Leadership Team is formed and ready for duty and fun! In the month of October, students will be learning about the importance of communication as it relates to leadership. We will be covering three types of communication: written, verbal, and nonverbal. In November they will be visiting the Homestead Senior Living facility to play volleyball with the residents. We look forward to how our SLT 'takes the lead'!

Interim Assessments
In mid-October, our 3rd-5th grade students will take the Interim Assessments. These assessments provide valuable insights into students' academic progress and help teachers tailor instruction in preparation for the Kansas State Assessments in the spring.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming Parent/Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, October 22nd from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday, October 24th from 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Teachers will be sending out sign-up times, so please watch for this communication from your child's teacher. Scheduling in advance will ensure ample time to discuss your child's progress, celebrate their achievements, and collaborate on strategies for continued growth. We encourage all parents to attend and partner with us in supporting student success.
