Updates from Dr. Bell-McRoy

Hello All,

I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend. We have been working hard to build the fundamental skills necessary to successfully perform our LGPE programs. We have also been working hard on our sightreading skills! It is hard work, but it will definitely be worth it!!

Congratulations to Bethany Courtney, Anthony Pinzon, and Joey Swan!! They performed with the District 13 District Honor Band on Saturday. They put on quite a show. Please congratulate them when you see them. This is a great accomplishment!!

Please look over the MVHS Band Google Calendar (see the link below). We have an after school rehearsal TOMORROW (Tuesday, February 11th). The schedule for tomorrow's rehearsal is Concert Band (2:45p-4p) and Wind Symphony (4:15p-5:45p). These rehearsals are required and are a part of the grading process for this concert cycle. Please reach out to me (email below) with any conflicts. Since this is a co-curricular class, extra-curricular activities are not an appropriate excuse for missing our after school rehearsals.

All band students are expected to wear the approved concert attire or a reasonable equivalent. Please make arrangements to order this for the next concert on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025 at 6p.
