Parent Newsletter November 17 - December 1, 2024
Message from the Principal, Ms. Miranda
Greetings Pirate Community,
Thank you for your continued support in ensuring your child's success. Attendance is especially important this week as we continue with interim testing. If your student arrives after 7:50 AM, for the safety of your child, parents are required to sign them in at the office. We would like to remind you that our instructional day begins promptly at 7:45 AM. At this time, all faculty and staff are engaged in instruction.
We are also excited to share our upcoming MCE Holiday Program at Americas High School on December 4th & 5th . Each family will receive 3 tickets for their student's performance. Additional tickets will be for sale for $3.00 each while supplies last.
This year we will not be hosting our annual Thanksgiving luncheon. Instead, we are excited to announce "Mingle and Jingle with Santa," a festive pozole breakfast event on December 11th & 12th! While we are still in the planning stage, be sure to continue reading our newsletter for more "Save the Date" information and upcoming events.
As a campus, in a strong home/school partnership is of utmost importance. Biweekly newsletter will be sent every month. We encourage parents to visit our Clas Dojo, our school website, and email for school information.
On behalf of the Myrtle Cooper faculty and staff thank you for entrusting your children to us!
Sincerely,
Ms. Miranda
Proud Principal

Important Volunteer Information
We had our first volunteer orientation this passed month. We have made some adjustments for volunteering for field trips. We are asking volunteers to complete 5 hours of volunteer service in order to be able to assist as a chaperone on field trips. In addition, we are asking that you attend volunteer orientation. This is to ensure that chaperones are trained in procedures necessary for assisting. All volunteers are required to pass a background check. To begin the process, please click on the link found below.
