The redistricting of Greenfield Public Schools will be in full effect for the 2025-26 school year. We understand that some common questions are going to arise. Another friendly reminder to parents/caregivers to keep your contact information up to date with the schools so you receive all messages on any school matter. A robocall, an email, and a text are sent when there is information that needs to go out to all students, families, and staff regarding weather delays, closing of buildings, or other issues. Please contact your child's school to update your information if there have been any recent changes.

How exciting it is to be the one to make history! Congratulations goes out to Jonathan Breor, senior at Greenfield High School, for being the 2nd boys basketball play to reach 1,000 points. While it happened at an away game over break, we certainly wanted to share with all of our students, families, and staff this exciting news! Below you can read more about this exciting event. Reading aloud to children provides so many benefits, such as, improved vocabulary, better listening skills, increase attention span, and stronger bonds between those involved. Prior to break, I reaped the benefits of reading aloud to students at the Newton Community Reader event sponsored by the Newton PTO. It is always such a pleasure to spend time with fellow community members and our students and their families strengthening the bonds between school, home, and community.

The read alouds continued on Friday, December 20, 2025, when community readers joined the Discovery School at Four Corners, to share their favorite book. Mr. Sullivan, the Assistant Superintendent, is shown below reading to 2nd graders and did such a good job, the students were eager to read to him as well!

Greenfield Public Schools has been awarded an Acceleration Academy grant from DESE. This grant will support the district’s implementation of the Acceleration Academy model, which is designed to provide intensive, standards-aligned instruction to accelerate student learning in a targeted content area.

Key components of the Acceleration Academy model include offering in-person core content instruction during the February or April school vacation weeks, with highly effective educators teaching small classes of 10–12 students.

We anticipate each Academy will provide a minimum of 20 hours of instruction in a single content area, complemented by a daily specials class, ensuring an engaging and focused experience. Instruction builds upon lessons taught during the school year. Resources will also be provided to support student recruitment and attendance, maximizing the impact of these Academies on student success. There would be no cost for families to attend the Academies.
