A place is to keep track of events and information about Francis Tuttle programs- Both Academy and Career Tech. Info will be relevant to both current students and prospective FT students!

Reminder! The Francis Tuttle Academy Presentation is right when we get back from Fall Break! Students will receive a pass during 1st hour if they signed up!

• October 22- Freshmen Academy Presentations. For students who want to learn more about our 3 Academies: Computer Science, Engineering; Biomedical Science.
• November- Presentations in World History/ AP Euro- sophomores will learn about 2-year Career Tech programs that begin Junior year.
• December 3- FT Career Experience- Students in World History/AP Euro will attend this event which is set up like a College/ Career Fair- all the FT programs are represented.
• Early January- FT Application opens for the 25/26 School year.
• January 16- FT Career Extravaganza Field Trip- interested students can travel to FT Rockwell or Portland Campus to see their program of interest.
• February/March- Interviews for Francis Tuttle Applicants
• Mid March (Spring Break)- Suggested deadline for applications.
• End of March- 12th Grade field trip for seniors whoi have never explored FT before and are interested in adult programs.
• May- Acceptance or Waitlist decisions sent to students/ families.
• Conversations about summer school options, if needed.

Mrs. Williams was in Honors Biology classes last week talking about the different Academy opportunities at Francis Tuttle. This includes:

• Engineering
• Computer Science
• Biosciences & Medicine

At that time, students were able to sign up to attend the Academy Presention on October 22nd.

The Academy Presentations will take place in the PAAC during 2nd hour on 10/22. Francis Tuttle Instructors and current FT students will be on hand to present in more detail about the program opportunities and benefits.

Students must be on the list and will receive a pass to attend this event.

**If students are unable to attend the presenation on 10/22, they will still be able to apply to and attend Francis Tuttle...

I’m excited to share that our Deer Creek students who are in Computer Science Academy, Siddharth Pandit and Shreyas Kundaragi have been nominated for our Student Spotlight for the month of October. Students are nominated based on how they represent Francis Tuttle’s Core Values: Service, Trust, Aspiration, Responsibility, and Respect. Our core values are what we strive to live by every day and help guide the decisions we make. It is through these behaviors that we achieve our vision and mission.
