Parking/Dismissal
We know this is a concern of many, including us at the school. Anytime 2,000 people are leaving one place at the same time (school, concerts, sporting events, etc.) there will be delays and congestion. Believe it or not, our dismissal is actually much better than other schools our size, but we're always open to trying to improve.
We've met with transportation experts from the county and involved students who used drones to observe traffic patterns during dismissal. They have provided a few options/suggestions, and now we want to collect data to see which is best before making any final changes (ie. signage, painted arrows, etc.). Between now and Memorial Day weekend (when seniors are done), we will trying a few different scenarios and collecting data to determine which is best. For next week (May6-10) we will be following our current dismissal procedure, but will be stricter on it's enforcement. As a reminder, students exiting through the north exit MUST turn right onto Jewell. Students exiting through the south exit MUST turn left onto Jewell. Parents picking up at RHS or 9GA may turn either left or right. We will analyze the data from next week and communicate in next Friday's newsletter what the plan will be for the following week.
AP Testing
AP testing begins next week! If you missed the information video in class, please watch that HERE. All information needed for testing is included in the video. For a recap, view the slides HERE, as well as the Parent Letter. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Zelmanski.
2024 SAT/PSAT Results
SAT/PSAT results become available sometime in early/mid May. Many students have already been contacted by CollegeBoard that their scores were available (if they chose this option when setting up their account). Regardless if students chose to be notified or not, they will be able to access their scores through their CollegeBoard account. The letter below provides further directions. If your student's scores are not available yet, they should be soon.

Cum Laude Recognition: Class of 2025 and Beyond
This information has been shared in the past, but we felt this was a good time for another reminder. This year, with the Class of 2024, is the last year of the traditional Romeo "Top 10" as next year we will be transitioning to the "cum laude" method of recognition. At first glance, someone may question a change in tradition, this will actually allow us to recognize MORE students. The new cum laude recognition method is very similar to what we've been doing for years, but we will now recognize ALL students with a 4.0+ GPA (usually 15-20 students per year) with the same pomp and circumstance that only the Top 10 of the past received. This will help ensure students that graduate #11-18ish receive accolades for all their hard work. For more information, please read the Parent Letter - Cum Laude Recognition
