Hello Rasor Families,

We want to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude to all of our families for your support during this unexpected transition to eLearning. Your encouragement for us and your support of your students’ learning while at home has been appreciated during this challenging time. We could not have done this without you!

The yearbooks are now off to print and should arrive at student homes between May 5 - 26. The program we used this year (Tree Ring) plants a tree for every yearbook purchased. Rasor helped plant 158 trees!

Kindergarten registration for the 2020-21 school year is an online process and is now open. Students currently attending a Plano ISD pre-k program do not need to complete this enrollment process and will be contacted by the elementary school their child will attend.

Students who will be new to Plano ISD need to complete the following steps:

1. Complete the 2020-21 Kindergarten Roundup Enrollment Forms
- Enrollment forms in English

- Forma de registro para estudiantes de nuevo ingreso en español

2. Email the completed enrollment forms and documentation listed below to your child’s elementary school campus registration email. List of campus registration email addresses
- Student’s birth certificate
- Student’s social security card
- Parent/guardian photo ID
- Proof of address- Acceptable documents include current gas, water, or electricity bill or lease agreement
- Immunization records

Campus staff will then review enrollment documents and confirm kindergarten enrollment for 2020-21 school year.

As the school counselor, I am here to help with any kind of resources that you and your family may need. Please reach out to me at any time, as my job is to help our students and families. I have many resources available whether they are community resources, food resources, and mental health resources. If I don't have the resources you need, I can help find them.

Luckily, I have been able to order non-perishable food for families that have contacted me or let a teacher know of a need, during this time. I keep all requests confidential. Generally I can get items delivered within a couple of days. Please reach out if you need anything at all.

After the announcement by Governor Abbott regarding school closure for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year, we know many of you have questions regarding some end-of-year procedures. Your questions might pertain to Chromebooks, library books, materials left at school, spring pictures, yearbooks, events - and the list goes on and on! Information on many pertinent topics, including these and others, will definitely be forthcoming prior to the close of the school year. The Elementary Transfer Request process will begin on April 27, at 8:00 am. At that time, please visit our Transfer website to receive an online tracking number. Once you have obtained your online tracking number, you will receive instructions detailing how to submit your transfer request electronically. The window for you to receive your online tracking number will close on April 29, at 5:00 pm. If you miss the April 27 through April 29 window, your request will be processed on a first come, first served basis after the others are processed.

*Please note: This process is for new elementary transfer requests only. If your student is already at a campus on an approved transfer, there is no reason to reapply. Once a transfer is approved, it is in effect through fifth grade.

2020-2021 No Transfer List

Due to building instructional programs and functions, enrollment projections, staff assignments, boundary changes, and/or anticipated construction projects, we will not be approving transfer requests for the fall 2020-2021 semester TO the following elementary schools.
