YOU ARE ONE SMART COOKIE!
Congratulations to all 2nd-8th grade students for successfully completing the Terra Nova test week. Special thanks to our PTO for the cookies and smarties treat! For our 2nd graders, this was their first experience with standardized testing and for our 8th graders, this marks their final year of Terra Nova testing. Thank you teachers, staff, and administrators who have worked tirelessly to prepare our students for success. Your commitment to excellence is truly commendable.
7TH GRADE CAMPUS MINISTRY/COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Thank you 7th Grade for a job well done! During Campus Ministry, our 7th graders helped Community Outreach and delivered hygiene bags to Project 150. Thank you to all the volunteers that came and helped! This was a great first retreat for our 7th grade!
WELCOME BACK-TO-SCHOOL BBQ
St. Viator School wishes to extend gratitude to each and every one of our families and volunteers for your incredible effort and dedication in making our Welcome Back to School BBQ such a wonderful success!
This event is always a highlight for our students and families, and it wouldn't be possible without the tireless work and enthusiasm of the PTO and the team of parent volunteers. We specifically thank PTO President Aileen Palacio for orchestrating this fabulous evening! Through your generosity of time and spirit, we were able to kick off the school year in a way that truly reflects our Catholic values of community, togetherness, and joy. Events like this BBQ allow us to come together not just as a school but as a family, building relationships and creating memories that will carry us through the year ahead!

OCTOBER PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES
Dear Parents,
As we approach our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences, I wanted to take a moment to share why these meetings are such an important aspect of your child’s education, particularly within our Catholic school community. At St. Viator, we believe that education is a collaborative effort between the school, the students, and their families. The partnership we share is essential in fostering not only academic growth but also the spiritual and moral development of each student. Parent-Teacher Conferences offer a unique opportunity to strengthen this partnership and ensure that we are all working together to guide your child’s success in all areas of life.
Here are a few key reasons why these conferences are so important:
Open Communication: The conferences provide a dedicated time for you to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss their academic progress, strengths, and areas where they may need additional support. It’s a valuable opportunity to exchange insights and collaborate on how best to help your child thrive.
Personalized Support: Every child is unique, and through these conferences, we can share personalized feedback that is tailored to your child’s needs. This allows us to ensure that their academic and spiritual formation is guided thoughtfully and intentionally.
Reinforcing Faith and Values: In our Catholic school, education goes beyond academics. We strive to nurture the whole child—mind, body, and soul—through the teachings of the Gospel. Parent-Teacher Conferences provide a forum to discuss how we are fostering Christian values in the classroom and how we can work together to reinforce those lessons at home.
Collaborative Problem-Solving: If your child is facing any challenges, whether academic or personal, these conferences allow us to address them early and work together on solutions. It is through this shared commitment that we can ensure your child receives the support they need to grow.
Strengthening Community Bonds: As part of a Catholic school, we are not just an educational institution; we are a faith community. Parent-Teacher Conferences allow us to deepen our relationship with you as partners in your child’s faith journey, working together to cultivate a strong sense of purpose, compassion, and leadership.
We encourage all parents to take advantage of this important opportunity to engage with your child’s teacher. Your active involvement and communication are key to ensuring your child’s success both in school and in life. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns regarding the scheduling of your conference.
