CELEBRATE YOUR CHILD'S BIRTHDAY ON THE MARQUEE!
SAFETY FIRST
- Please see our safety videos for new arrival and dismissal procedures
If you would like to walk your student up to the front doors in the mornings for arrival, you may park at the neighborhood pool across the street and use the crosswalk path on Keith Harrow. Refrain from parking in the staff parking lot, neighborhood, or alongside the street.
Thank you for partnering with us and playing a vital role in keeping our students safe by monitoring your child’s cell phone activity and messaging outside of school.
- Please read and adhere to the policies and procedures we have in place to keep everyone safe.

Background
WATCH D.O.G.S. ® (Dads Of Great Students) is an innovative father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center For Fathering. It began in 1998 in a single school in Springdale, Arkansas and has since grown into a nationally recognized program that has brought hundreds of thousands of fathers and father figures into our nation’s classrooms and hallways. WATCH D.O.G.S. ® has created millions of “in school” volunteer hours and continues to have a tremendously positive impact on the educational process. Today more than 4049 schools in 46 states plus DC participate in WATCH D.O.G.S. ®
Program Goals
- To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
- To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
COUNSELOR'S CORNER
Sign Up to be a Community Mentor to a Wilson Wrangler! Community Mentors meet with students one-on-one at the student’s campus for approximately 30 minutes each week, and must be 18 years or older. Please visit this link on how to become a mentor. https://www.cfisd.net/Page/1708
PARENT'S RIGHT TO KNOW
As a parent of a student at a campus receiving Title I funds, federal law allows you to ask for information about the certification, college major, and advanced degrees of your child’s teacher(s). You also have the right to request information about the qualifications of a teacher, aide or paraprofessional providing direct services to your child. If you would like to receive this information, you may contact the Cypress-Fairbanks I.S.D. Human Resources Department at 281-897-4099.
APPLY FOR FREE AND REDUCED MEALS AND GET MORE RESOURCES FOR OUR SCHOOL
If you think that your child may qualify for benefits, we encourage you to fill out an application for meal benefits. This application can be filled out electronically at schoolcafe.com (users will need to sign into an existing School Cafe account or create a new one). Applications need to be filled out each school year. The application will determine a child’s eligibility for free and reduced-price meals and may assist in the determination of eligibility for other state or federal benefits. Only one application needs to be completed per household. Decisions regarding payment for school meals are made at the national-government level, not by the school nutrition team or TDA. The household will then be notified of the child’s eligibility.
Questions about the Free and Reduced Lunch program? Contact the office at 281-897-4550 or email freeandreduced@cfisd.net.
How to access application in SchoolCafe
- Log into schoolcafe.com. (Users will need to sign into an existing School Cafe account or create a new one).
- After you log in, on the left side under 'Benefits', click 'Apply'.

CLINIC
Please be aware that Texas Administrative Code chapter 97 rule 97.7 requires that students be excluded from school for a fever of 100.0 F or higher.
***Students are not allowed at school the following day after being sent home from school with fever, and they must be 24 hours fever free without using Tylenol/Motrin before returning to school.***
If your student wakes up with fever or if they feel warm/hot, please do not give them Tylenol or Motrin and send them to school as this is unsafe for them and others who may be exposed to a potentially contagious illness.
Please also make sure that you have your daytime contact numbers and emergency contacts are up to date with the Registrar so that you can be reached in the event your child is ill or injured.
It is also recommended for all students to keep a change of clothes from home in their backpacks at all times in case of accidents or spills.
Please call the school clinic if your student tests positive for covid as it is still a reportable illness. TX Department of Health and CFISD guidelines have recently changed; there is no longer mandatory 5 days of isolation after one tests positive for covid. Students may return when 24 hours fever free without using fever reducing medicine and symptoms have improved.
Reminder: For safety reasons, it is against district policy to send any medication (including cough drops) with your students in their pockets, backpacks, water bottles, or lunch kits. You or an adult that you trust need to sign in any medicine that your student will need during the school day. Medication being signed in must be in its original container and not expired. Prescribed medicine must contain a prescription label.
Thanks for helping to keep our school safe!
