MILLIS TRACK & FIELD STATE CHAMPS
On June 1st, 21 student-athletes participated in the middle school state track and field championship at Clinton High School. 21 medals were awarded to our athletes. In addition to the amount of medals, the boys team, comprised of 8 boys, earned 59 points to win the title of Division 3 State Track & Field Championship. They had the most points out of 34 teams that attended from all over Massachusetts.
Stone, Dillon, Tyler, and Xander as they just placed 1st in the 4x400.

6th Grade Field Trip to Everwood Day Camp coming up this Monday, June 10
The 6th grade is looking forward to their field trip to Everwood Day Camp on Monday, June 10th. This is always such a fun day for the students, let's hope for sunny weather!

7th Grade Community Panel
The 7th grade will be hosting its 7th annual Community Panel on Monday, June 10th. Students will hear from community members about how they use skills they learned in school in the workplace. Our aim is to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application by demonstrating the relevance of academic concepts to various professions and careers. It has been so successful in the past, and we can't wait to do it again!
Also, Grade 7 Field Day is June 12th!
GRADE 8TH COMPLETION CEREMONY AND EVENTS
The 8th grade class will finish out their Middle School careers with a bang this year with their Class Day, Promotion Ceremony and 8th Grade Dance all taking place on Thursday, June 13th. We are very excited for this class and know that they will continue with their success in high school next year! The schedule of events is listed below:
Grade 8 rockets were launched this week!
This week our eighth grade students built and launched their own rockets to reinforce our manufacturing and motion standards in science.

Millis Fire Department visited our 8th grade PLT classes teaching them CPR this week. Thank you to Firefighter Otis and crew for taking the time to help students with these very important life saving skills.

There is a fundraiser for the school library for you to purchase your book.
You can also purchase the middle school summer reading book Alone through the library fundraiser.
To ensure books will be in before the end of the school year, all orders must be completed by June 3.

If you haven't yet obtained a copy of your summer reading book or if you're looking for more great books to read this summer, please consider purchasing your copies through the library. Park Street books is generously donating 25% to us!

WHOLE-SCHOOL SUMMER READING REQUIREMENT
This year's whole-school summer reading requirement is Alone by Megan E. Freeman. More information on summer reading will follow within the upcoming weeks, but until then you can support our school library by ordering the book through this fundraiser.

"Seventh Grade Scoop"
The 7th grade PLTs have been working very hard this week to put out the first edition of the "Seventh Grade Scoop" for the 2024 school year. Please click on the link below to check out their awesome publication!
8th GRADE CIVICS PROJECTS
8th grade students for their Civics Action Projects have researched and set out to improve areas of need within our local communities.

Fall registration is open. We ask that you register before the end of school so we can plan accordingly before August rolls around. Do not worry about payment at this time....please just register. TY!

SWIM TEAM INFORMATION - 2024
Medway, Millis and Holliston Summer Swim Team 2024!!
This is a great opportunity to try a new sport, improve your swim stroke, make some friends and have some fun! While the summer league is a competitive league, emphasis will be placed on promoting good Sportsmanship and team spirit, while providing an environment for the individual swimmer to improve overall fitness and build self-esteem. The Medway, Millis and Holliston Swim Team is open to swimmers ages 5-18. Swimmers must be able to complete 25 yds unassisted.
There will be a skills check: TBD
Practice Schedule: TBA
Registration fee includes shirt and swim cap:
Fee: $200
Family Cap (3 siblings or more): $500
**Please contact the recreation department for family cap registration.**
Participants must show proof of residency!!
