Thank a Teacher
Thank a Teacher, Spread the Love this Valentine's Day!
Teaching is a work of heart, and our incredible teachers across West Ada School District give their all to inspire, nurture, and empower our students every day!
This Valentine's Day, show your appreciation by making a donation to the West Ada School District Education Foundation. Every dollar goes directly into the classroom, providing new resources and enriching experiences for your child and their peers!
Let’s make a difference together! https://www.westada.org/page/thank-a-teacher?fbclid=IwY2xjawH2F-VleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHXR3CvAkjjlLOk9D7QzAG8kj779v6wB3hbpLBfGhuFLhof-DjC1Owzc8MQ_aem_Xj_MDFUWx-K4UJWnmig9yg
ART COMPETITION
DUE TO THE SNOW DAY... Artwork for the WASD Art Competition selection is due on Monday, February 10!
Thank you for the donations we have already received. Mrs. Tusak's 4th Grade Class is leading the way in this competition. We have one more week before we find our which classroom will reign supreme in this year's Canned Food Drive Competition!
ROARING READER
Your child has a reading chart to complete to earn one free day pass for Roaring Springs Waterpark. They are encouraged to read for 600 minutes (or 800 minutes for 5th graders). Next, they must fill out the reading chart, (kindergarteners and first graders might need a little assistance with this task), and return to school no later than Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
If you have any questions, please email kaler.jen@westada.org.
SAFETY
COLD WEATHER REMINDERS
Please be sure to send your child to school ready for the elements. If the temperatures are above 20 degrees, including wind chill, we are outside for recess. Unless there is a doctor's note for reasons a student cannot be outside, ALL students are expected to go out. Snow does not stop our play time, nor does a little sprinkle of rain.
Also, if you worry about your child's clothes potentially getting wet, please send them with a backup outfit, as the school does not have enough clothing for those who tend to enjoy playing in the snow.

ATTENDANCE
New this year, we have an automated system for calls! Don't worry, we are still answering calls as the first option; we know talking to someone right away is important. However, after business hours our phone to immediately change to an automated system. During business hours, the automated voicemail system will pick up after 4 rings, indicating that the front office staff is either on the phone or helping someone in the office.
You will have the option of the following when the automated system answers:
Press 1 for Office
Press 2 for Attendance
Press 3 for Health Office
Press 4 for Transportation
If you are simply calling to report your child's attendance, you may call 208-350-4498.
