All you need to know about what is happening at your school
In loving memory of Mr. Vicente Sanchez
Dear Riverside Elementary Community,
We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for the immense outpouring of support and love from all of you. This has been an incredibly challenging past week as we mourn the loss of our beloved Principal, Mr. Sanchez, while continuing to honor Red Ribbon Week and provide our students with engaging and enriching experiences. The compassion and resilience shown by our Riverside family have been uplifting during this difficult time.
We know that Mr. Sanchez would have wanted us to carry forward his legacy by focusing on our students and ensuring they have meaningful, memorable experiences. With that spirit in mind, we have come together to make this past week impactful for our students, honoring his dedication and love for our school.
Please know that your support means the world to us, and together, we will continue to uphold his vision for Riverside.
With gratitude,
Riverside Elementary

Day of the Dead Celebration
At Riverside Elementary, we believe in fostering a culturally inclusive environment where all students feel seen, respected, and valued. Teaching about the Day of the Dead aligns with this commitment by allowing students to learn about and appreciate the diverse cultural traditions that make up our community. By exploring the origins, symbols, and meaning behind the Day of the Dead, we engage students in a deeper understanding of cultural respect and heritage. This approach encourages students to celebrate both their own backgrounds and those of their classmates.

Attendance Counts
Attendance at Riverside Elementary
Students who are in class regularly have an opportunity to learn the concepts that lay the foundation for understanding what is taught as the year progresses. And showing up every day in those early weeks and months helps students, especially those in the very early grades, establish regular routines that support on-time attendance for the remainder of the year. Our school offers some dynamic attendance incentives for our students.
